Frozen 2 World Premiere

Living in the Midwest, it seems like we’re so far away from the action and the lights and glamour of Hollywood. And while we review a lot of movies, it’s not every day that we get to experience a Red Carpet event. In fact, only once in the past have I gotten to walk to “red” carpet when I did a few years ago for Pirates of the Caribbean dead Men Tell No Tales.

So when I was invited to walk the red carpet for Frozen II by our friends at Disney, I was excited to take the opportunity to glam up and head to the bright lights for a night I wont forget.

The Outfit

Finding the perfect red carpet dress may seem like it would take forever. We see images and videos of celebrities every day in dresses that seem like they may cost thousands of dollars. And you know what? They probably do.

But, being a true Midwest girl, spending my whole bank account on one outfit for a few hours wasn’t an option. So, instead, I shopped my closet. Not just for any dress, but one that fit me, was comfortable, and would fit the movie theme. And what did I find? An Anna inspired colored dress that I had grabbed on clearance at Torrid the year before. And a major bonus, the soft materials doesn’t wrinkle so it make it extremely easy to pack and toss in my bag for the days of travel ahead.

Matched with some jewelry I already had, affordable shoes and bag off Amazon – the whole Red Carpet look cost me under $70. And the glittery accessories made it look like I was dripped in ice – adding to the Frozen theme.

The Experience

When you watch any World Premiere on television, you see the stars, the glitz and glamour. But what is it like when you cross through that line yourself?

The whole glamourous experience starts when you cross through the security line and the metal detectors. Safety first after all! Then you are ushered down the red carpet. Throughout the whole experience there are places you can stop to grab a photo or two to remember your time on the carpet.

But here’s the thing, every few feet there are security guards trying to get you into the theater as soon as possible. They are yelling for you to move along and to get you going.

The celebrities are in a different part of the red carpet, where they are surrounded by the press, the lights and screaming fans. That doesn’t mean walking on the red carpet isn’t a fun experience – but the chances of you running into the celebrities on this carpet was really low.

Any time on the red carpet makes you feel glamorous, and getting your photos taken is all about angles. But don’t worry, the staff on the carpet is happy to assist you and you will feel like a million dollars no matter what you wear.

The After Party

After you walk the Red Carpet, you will be ushered into the theater. This time we saw the Premiere in the Dolby Theater (yes, the same one where they hold the Oscars!) With a special Frozen 2 bucket of popcorn in hand, some pop and with the cast of the film in the seats around us, we were able to enjoy the movie like ultimate fans.

Frozen 2 – well I can’t quite tell you about that yet! But when I can, I’ll tell you everything you need to know before you head into the theater!

When the movie is done, the badge they gave us when we checked in also gets you into the After Party. Just upstairs, we were whisked through to enjoy some festivities surrounding the release. With tables reserved for the cast and their family, the bands that did the music and special guests you will rub elbows with celebrities and other guests.

With new branded products for the release, and activities for guests of all ages. We enjoyed makeovers from Coulorpop, virtual reality stories to help expand the world of Frozen and much more. It was the perfect way to end a glamorous night with friends and surrounded by celebrities.
