We all have that moment in our life we want to take back, we want to forget ever happened or rewind the tape. It could be something embarrassing, someone we dated that wasn’t a good for us, or a career choice that didn’t work out. But really it’s time to let it go. Let go of the negativity, let go of the regret and let go of the past.
I’m not going to start singing like Elsa (yes, I know that song is now probably running in your head), but let’s face it – we all bring the past along with us. It’s baggage, it weighs us down and can even prevent us from moving forward.
Yes, there are things in my past that I wish I had never done but looking back, I don’t know that I’d have done them any differently. But the reality is for me, those sometimes stupid decisions, have made me who I am today. They helped shape me and they have created the woman I am today. I’m not looking to spill any dirty secrets this time around – there’s thing we’ve all done that I’m sure you can relate to. But instead of regretting them, holding onto the negative and letting it ruin my day/week/year/life. Instead, take each moment as a learning moment, let it shape you and continue being awesome. There’s a lot in life you can control, but your past isn’t one of them.
You can’t change the past, but you can let it go. You can learn from it, grow and continue making your life the one you want it to be. Just let it go…
