It’s time to protect the Pride Land with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa! The live action of The Lion King is finally coming home and we’re ready to watch it with our favorite friends. The movie is now available everywhere on Digital HD and will be coming out in a couple weeks on Blu-Ray Combo Package.

The digital version includes an extra that playfully conveys the importance of the dung beetle both in the film and the African savanna.   

In “The Lion King,” pioneering filmmaking techniques bring treasured characters to life in a whole new way. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother — and former heir to the throne — has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.   4. I have yet to see the live-action but I can’t wait. My favorite part of the animated Lion King is “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King”

  5. I’ve always really loved the opening sequence set to Circle of Life. Not the most exciting moment but a perfect first scene. I haven’t watched the live action version yet but I’m looking forward to it!

  27. I have not seen the new version. My favorite part of the animated Lion King was the music. I loved every song from the movie!

  28. I have not seen the new live action but I really want to. In the original, I like it when Simba is singing Hakuna Matata with Timon and Pumba.
