2020 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive Review

Why the 2020 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive is Your Dream Car

Luxury vehicles are a dream of many people. And while several brands offer almost an entry level price point in the luxury market – there are others that offer you the far end of the extreme as well. BMW has models that start at the a more reasonable price point, and go all the way up to their luxury Alpina line. Each step up the ladder means more features, more innovation and let’s not forget – a little bit of bragging rights.

Luxury at A More Affordable Price

If you’re looking to find the ultimate driving experience in a luxury vehicle there are very few brands that come to mind. But when you hear luxury, you may instantly think of Rolls-Royce. While they’re under the same umbrella of the BMW Group, their often $400,000 price point takes them out of the equation for many people.

This is where Alpina fits into the mix, offering luxury car owners a more affordable luxury car at a lower price point. Of course this is all relative, because the Alpina will run you around $150,000 but at more than half the price of the Royce, this may be one of the few things that will set it apart.

Features You Don’t Get Elsewhere

Now the Alpina B7 is set up more like a chauffeur vehicle than most of the other luxury cars on the market. The back seat passengers have full control of the climate control, ability to set the navigation and even take advantage of adjustable seating and heated (and massaging seats) while they are being taken to their next destination.

The driver and the front passenger have not been left out in the equation, with full massaging seats, a panoramic sky lounge LED roof, Bowers & Wilkins sound system, gesture control and many other features. You will stay connected on the go with a Wifi hot spot integrated in the vehicle and USB C Charging throughout.

A Bespoke Vehicle That is More Unique

So what does it mean to get a bespoke vehicle? It means it’s a car that is custom made for you – on demand. You wont be choosing it from a lot or a pile of premade cars. Instead, you will order your car, with each step being integral to the final outcome of the car. From the custom color of the accents to the nappa leather placement and more. This car will not only fit you as you drive it but your style completely.

But why is this type of luxury so unique? This is the type of service you mostly get when you are purchasing a Rolls-Royce and having it made just for you. But since Alpina is a lesser known model when it comes to the high end luxury bespoke vehicles – there are actually less made each year and produced. That not only gives you the bragging rights to a more exclusive car, but the puts you in a very small club of owners and enthusiasts.

Just the Facts

The 2020 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive has a starting price point of $142,800 and with added options the model we drove came in $153,195. Loaded with the innovation that you can only get from BMW and the extreme luxury feelings.

Although if you’re purchasing the BMW Alpina, there’s a good chance you don’t care about the gas mileage anyhow.
