A MARBLE IN THE JAR | Exclusively in theatres September 11th

Tatiana is chasing a World Title while Greg is facing an entirely different battle: an ALS diagnosis.

The two share a simple tradition—whenever something good happens, they put a marble in a jar. A great wave, a breakthrough, a small moment worth celebrating. As Tatiana deals with the heartbreak of falling short of a World Title and fights her way back, Greg’s condition progresses, giving their simple ritual a much deeper meaning.

The film becomes an intimate story about friendship, resilience, loss, perspective, and redefining what it means to win. Greg ultimately completed the documentary as what became his final gift to Tatiana.

The film features some of surfing’s biggest names, including Kelly Slater, Carissa Moore, Ross Williams, Joe Turpel, Bruce Irons, Filipe Toledo, Rochelle Ballard and Jesse Mendes.

Directed by Greg Browning, a member of the legendary Momentum Generation and creator of the Drive Thru series, the film is written by Browning and Scott Smith and produced by John DeTemple, John Oda, Scott Smith and Felipe Borges.

A MARBLE IN THE JAR opens exclusively in theaters September 11, 2026, followed by an On Demand release November 3, 2026.

RESIDENT EVIL | in IMAX and Theaters September 18th

As the first film in the iconic franchise to be part of the Filmed For IMAX® program, Resident Evil brings the scale, scope and immersion that only IMAX can deliver to this terrifying new survival-horror experience.

Shot using IMAX-certified digital cameras, the film’s striking visuals and stark horror atmosphere is captured with exceptional depth, clarity and intensity. Nearly a third of the film – 33 minutes – is presented in IMAX’s exclusive 1.90:1 Expanded Aspect Ratios (EAR), giving IMAX audiences more picture and greater immersion than anywhere else. Director Zach Cregger used EAR strategically, supporting major transitions for the characters and amplifying the emotional and cinematic impact of those scenes.

Resident Evil was enhanced frame by frame with IMAX’s proprietary Digital Media Remastering (DMR) technology to deliver exceptional clarity, detail and image quality. It also features a dedicated sound mix optimized specifically for IMAX theatres, heightening the terror, tension and visceral impact of the story. With a custom sound system designed by acousticians and the largest speakers in the industry, every beat turns Resident Evil into a fully immersive experience.

From the mind of visionary filmmaker Zach Cregger (Weapons, Barbarian) comes a thrilling — and terrifying — reinvention of the Resident Evil franchise. In an all-new story, Resident Evil follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.

SMALL PROPHETS | Streaming on Apple TV October 7th

Apple TV announced that it has landed season one of “Small Prophets,” the acclaimed six-episode comedy from BAFTA Award-winning creator, writer and director Mackenzie Crook (“Detectorists”) that premiered on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two in the U.K. earlier this year. The series will premiere on Apple TV on October 7, 2026 excluding the U.K., where it will be available to Apple TV subscribers in 2027.

The series features a host of beloved comedy stars including Mackenzie Crook, Pearce Quigley (“Detectorists”), Lauren Patel (“Waterloo Road”), BAFTA Award winner Sir Michael Palin (“Monty Python”), BAFTA Award winner Sophie Willan (“Alma’s Not Normal”), BAFTA Award nominee Jon Pointing (“Big Boys”) and SAG Award nominee Paul Kaye (“Game of Thrones”).

Hailed as a “jewel-like, unhurried masterpiece that is funny, profound and manages to break and mend your heart in equal measures,” the “truly fantastic” first season of the series that is “full of gorgeous surprises” holds a rare, perfect 100% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes and won the Best Series Award, International Panorama at Series Mania in March 2026. Celebrated as “completely lovely” and “compulsory viewing,” “Small Prophets” is “richly steeped in Crook’s glorious brand of gentleness, his ability to imbue the ordinary with extraordinariness,” and is an “impossible marvel of TV making.”

“Small Prophets” is a comic tale of the eccentric Michael Sleep (Quigley) who, since his darling Clea disappeared seven years ago, has lived a very ordinary life. He works in a DIY store, visits his dad Brian (Palin) and hopes for Clea to return. One day Brian shares an old recipe involving rainwater, horse manure and more than a little alchemy. With recipe in hand, Michael sets out (albeit with some skepticism) to create homunculi – magical spirits that can predict the future – in the hope they have the answer to his burning question, “will I ever see Clea again?”

Michael gets help from his young coworker Kacey (Patel), an unlikely friendship that blossoms partly (but not wholly) through their mutual dislike of store manager Gordon (Mackenzie Crook). Their friendship adds to the frustration and intrigue of his nosy neighbors (Willan, Pointing) who are obsessed with trying to find out what the hell is going on in the garden shed.

“Small Prophets” was filmed and set in and around Manchester. The series incorporates visually stunning animation elements throughout a story of friendships and hope, the magical and the mundane, and where secrets and lies lurk in a suburban cul-de-sac.

The series is produced by Treasure Trove and Blue House Productions, and is created, written and directed by Mackenzie Crook. Executive producers are Mackenzie Crook and Lisa Thomas for Treasure Trove Productions, and Christine Gernon and Emma Strain for Blue House Productions. Apple TV acquired “Small Prophets” from international distributor Sphere Abacus.

The film marks the second collaboration for Apple Original Films and writer/director Siân Heder, who directed the multi-Academy Award winning “CODA,” which made history as the first with a predominantly deaf cast to receive the Best Picture honor. “Being Heumann” will debut in select theaters November 6, 2026 and premiere globally on Apple TV Friday, November 13, 2026.

Bringing rebellion in all its forms to the hallowed halls, a movement’s accidental leaders struggle to find their path forward where none has ever been paved for them.
