THE WILD ROBOT | New Featurette – In Theaters Now

The Wild Robot

From DreamWorks Animation comes a new adaptation of a literary sensation, Peter Brown’s beloved, award-winning, #1 New York Times bestseller, The Wild Robot. 

The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.

THE WAIT | Arriving on VOD & Digital on October 4th

DISCLAIMER | Trailer Debut – Streaming on Apple TV+ on October 11th

Apple TV+ today revealed the trailer for “Disclaimer,” the acclaimed psychological thriller told in seven chapters, starring Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, and Academy Award nominee Sacha Baron Cohen, and written and directed by five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón. “Disclaimer” will make its global debut on Friday, October 11, 2024 with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday.

Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets and threatens to destroy her family.

As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys her life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Baron Cohen) and son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee). SHRINKING: SEASON 2 | Streaming on AppleTV+ on October 16th

Apple TV+ revealed the trailer for the second season of its acclaimed, Emmy Award-nominated comedy “Shrinking,” starring Emmy-Award nominee Jason Segel and multi-award winner Harrison Ford, and created by Emmy Award winners Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, and Segel. The 12-episode second season will premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Wednesday, October 16, followed by one new episode weekly, every Wednesday until December 25, 2024.

“Shrinking” follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.

In addition to Segel and Ford, “Shrinking” stars Emmy-Award nominee Christa Miller, Emmy-Award nominee Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley. Goldstein will appear as a special guest star in season two.

Tegan and Sara ascended to global fame as one of the most influential queer indie rock bands of their generation. They worked hard to cultivate an inclusive and passionate fanbase around the world. Listeners were drawn to the duo’s beautifully confessional lyrics, but there was more than just the music. Fans found within the community the only safe space to come out and be queer during a time when few bands would declare allyship, let alone celebrate their own queer identity. But a bad actor took advantage of the community’s trust and comfort. Tegan and Sara’s world turned upside down when Tegan’s personal files were hacked in 2011, revealing the dark side of fame and fandom. This is a sprawling yet intimate story of how Tegan’s identity was stolen and weaponized in a complex catfish scheme to ensnare members of this community. The film is an examination of the severe ripple effect of mistrust, anxiety, and self-doubt that resulted from Fegan’s (Fake Tegan) actions. 

Today, Tegan enlists documentary filmmaker and investigator Erin Lee Carr [Britney Vs. Spears] to find the person stalking her and terrorizing her fans and community for over fifteen years. Interwoven with the investigation Tegan’s team originally conducted in 2011 they uncover new victims and potential suspects and reveal sinister and unforeseen twists.

Told through Tegan’s own voice, the voices of deceived fans, a trove of visceral communications between fake Tegan and their victims, and the visual history of the band’s behind-the-scenes archive, this documentary feature is a thriller, a caper, a whodunnit, and an intimate personal journey rolled into one. It cuts to the heart of love and betrayal, fame and fandom, desire and delusion in the 21st century.

MOANA 2 | New TV Spot and Poster – In Theaters November 27th

A new TV spot offers a sneak peek at Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Moana 2,” including a new song, “We’re Back,” from the film. DISNEY+ REVEALS LAUNCH DATES FOR TWO PIXAR SERIES | “Dream Productions” from the World of “Inside Out” Launches December 11, 2024; Brand-New Original Series “Win or Lose” Debuts February 19, 2025

Disney+ revealed today all-new launch dates for two exciting series from Pixar Animation Studios. A sneak peek is now available offering a look at both new series. 

  • Following the record-breaking global success and excitement surrounding “Inside Out 2”—which launches on Disney+ tomorrow”
  • “Dream Productions” returns to Riley’s mind, this time to explore the innerworkings of the studio behind her dreams. All four episodes of the limited series come to the streamer beginning Dec. 11, 2024.

MGM+ ORDERS DRAMA SERIES ROBIN HOOD BASED ON THE CLASSIC ADVENTURE TALE | Production begins in Serbia at PFI Studios in February 2025 and will debut on MGM+ later Next Year

Premium linear channel and streaming service MGM+ announced today a new drama series order for Robin Hood, in which the classic tale of the roguish outlaw hero who stole from the rich and gave to the poor gets reimagined into a smart, sweeping, romantic adventure. The series comes from Lionsgate Television with showrunner John Glenn and producer director Jonathan English (Librarians: The Next Chapter) at the helm. Glenn and English also serve as writers and executive producers, alongside Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures. Carly Kleinbart and Nicole Bryant will oversee the series for Hidden Pictures. Robin Hood will shoot its ten-episode first season at PFI Studios in Serbia, with production beginning in February. Robin Hood is slated to premiere on MGM+ later next year.

Robin Hood brings a modern energy to the classic tale of the roguish outlaw hero who stole from the rich and gave to the poor, and the epic love story between him and a courageous and daring Marian. It is a smart, sweeping, romantic adventure that brings historical authenticity, psychological depth, and a heightened focus on the relationship between Rob and Marian to the beloved story. Following the Norman invasion of England, Rob – a Saxon forester’s son – and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord – fall in love and work together to fight for justice and freedom. As Rob rises as the leader of a band of rebel outlaws, Marian infiltrates the power at court, as both work together to thwart royal corruption and bring peace to the land.

THUNDERBOLTS* | New Teaser Trailer and Poster – In Theaters May 2, 2025

The teaser trailer and poster for the upcoming feature film,  “Thunderbolts*” debuted.  Marvel Studios and a crew of indie veterans who sold out present “Thunderbolts*,”an irreverent team-up featuring depressed assassin Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) alongside the MCU’s least anticipated band of misfits.

The film also returns to the screen Marvel Cinematic Universe characters Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), in addition to some exciting new faces.
