UNMASKING THE TYLENOL KILLER | Premiering on The Roku Channel October 9th

In December 1982, parishioners entering a Catholic church in Boise, Idaho discovered the body of a well-dressed stranger lying between the pews. The man had died from cyanide poisoning, carried no identification, and left behind only a note signed with what proved to be a false name: William L. Toomey. Despite decades of investigation, no one could identify him. He became known simply as “The Unknown Wanderer.”

Nearly forty years later, Ada County Sheriff’s Detective Tim Cooper becomes consumed with solving the mystery that had captivated him since childhood after first seeing the case featured on Unsolved Mysteries. What begins as a quest to restore the unknown man’s identity evolves into an investigation that uncovers one of the most startling developments in true crime history.

Following a trail of decades-old evidence, including a ring of mysterious keys, forensic genealogy, forgotten documents, and interviews spanning the country, Cooper finally identifies the Unknown Wanderer. But discovering his identity only deepens the mystery.

As Cooper reconstructs the Wanderer’s life, disturbing details emerge. Former classmates describe a gifted but deeply troubled man fascinated by explosives and chemistry from an early age. Former colleagues recall conversations about committing the “perfect crime,” his fixation on cyanide, and chilling discussions about poisoning over-the-counter medications. The Wanderer possessed both the scientific knowledge and access to deadly chemicals, while his increasingly erratic behavior led to repeated psychiatric hospitalizations, the loss of his career, and the collapse of his marriage.

The investigation soon uncovers an astonishing timeline. The Wanderer vanished during the exact time period of the infamous 1982 Chicago Tylenol murders, in which seven innocent people died after taking cyanide-laced capsules. Evidence places him in Chicago that year, reveals unexplained ties to the city, and uncovers maps, letters, homemade cyanide, and other artifacts hidden for decades inside his preserved childhood bedroom. Cooper also discovers suspicious cyanide deaths outside Chicago that may have been earlier experiments, suggesting the scope of the crimes may have extended far beyond what history remembers.

Through interviews with victims’ families, forensic psychiatrists, retired investigators, pathologists, and the Wanderer’s former friends and coworkers, the documentary assembles a compelling circumstantial case pointing to a suspect who has never before been publicly identified. Along the way, Cooper’s own deeply personal journey, shaped by childhood abandonment and a lifelong determination to bring answers to families of the missing, becomes inseparable from the investigation itself.

Unmasking the Tylenol Killer chronicles an extraordinary seven-year investigation that transforms an unidentified death into a breakthrough in one of America’s greatest unsolved mysteries. The film presents powerful new evidence, identifies the strongest suspect ever uncovered, and makes a compelling case for reopening the investigation in pursuit of long-overdue answers for the victims, their families, and the public.

THE FURTHER MIS-ADVENTURES OF CLIFF BOOTH | Official Trailer – in IMAX Theaters globally November 25th, debuting on Netflix December 23rd

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth. Cr. Courtesy of Netflix © 2026

Murder, blackmail, theft, extortion — just another summer in Hollywood. It’s 1977, eight years since Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) encountered the Manson family in Quentin Tarantino’s parallel history of 1969, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. In THE FURTHER MIS-ADVENTURES OF CLIFF BOOTH, directed by David Fincher from a new script by Tarantino, the fairytale is over. Los Angeles no longer needs a hippie-slaying stuntman the way it did. But Hollywood will always have problems, problems that can only be solved by someone with Cliff’s unique (occasionally extralegal) abilities. When he’s not earning his keep bartending or as a projectionist, Cliff Booth is a fixer — solving situations for Hollywood’s great and, sometimes, not so good.

He’s curious when he gets a call from talent agent Karen Crosby (Elizabeth Debicki), on behalf of her client, TV megastar Charlie Peters (Scott Caan) — a man known for doing his own stunts. And he’s further entertained and intrigued when he meets other characters in Charlie’s world, from his knowing wife Toni (Carla Gugino) to pro football champion turned screen star Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). Then there are the Verdusco brothers (Matt Groove and JB Tadena), mysterious gangsters causing mayhem across the city. What was once a fairytale is now a crime story — a cocktail of violence, ambition, and desire that could only happen in LA.

Discover whether the further adventures — or mis-adventures — of Cliff Booth end happily ever after on November 25 in IMAX, and on December 23 on Netflix.

MGM+ announced the greenlight of the original drama series Rules of Prey, an adaptation of Pulitzer-Prize-winning journalist John Sandford’s acclaimed book series Prey, based on the first book in a collection of thirty-five NYT-bestsellers. Created by Bruce Terris, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer, and produced by MGM Television and Take 5 Productions, Jensen Ackles will star and executive produce the eight-episode season, with production beginning this month in Toronto. The series will premiere on MGM+ in the U.S., United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Chile.

Rules of Prey follows Lucas Davenport, formerly a detective in the Minneapolis Police Department, drawn out of seclusion back into law enforcement to investigate a series of confounding murders designed to send a message specifically to him. When an ingenious serial killer begins murdering Minneapolis citizens, Davenport, a brilliant polymath and unconventional investigator, takes the case, sparking an intense psychological duel with an equally intelligent adversary. As Davenport deciphers the killer’s twisted moral code and personal vendetta, he must match wits with a predator operating by his own rules of justice, risking everything to stop a killer who sees their conflict as the ultimate game.

Jensen Ackles stars as Lucas Davenport, a righteous avenging angel whose sharp mind, unconventional approach, and unwillingness to let the law get in the way of justice forced him out of the Minneapolis Police Department.

“Jensen Ackles’ classic leading man charisma, combined with Bruce Terris’ skillful adaptation of John Sandford’s enduringly popular Prey series is an excellent fit for MGM+,” said Michael Wright, global head of MGM+. “The series delves into the psychological depth and suspense that made Sandford’s novels unmissable reading and continues MGM+’s commitment to bringing classic Hollywood storytelling to modern audiences.”

Rules of Prey further expands Ackles’ relationship with Amazon MGM Studios. He will next star in and produce the upcoming Prime Video series Vought Rising, reprising his fan-favorite role as Soldier Boy from the multi-Emmy Award-winning series The Boys. The series will premiere in 2027.

The series is created by Emmy award-winning writer-producer Bruce Terris (DTF St. Louis), who serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer, alongside executive producer Charles Gogolak and Matt Leipzig (Modern Literary Arts). Howard Braunstein, Michael Jaffe, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra and John Weber serve as executive producers. John Sandford serves as co-producer. Daniel Sackheim directs the pilot and episode two and serves as executive producer.

Bruce Terris is an Emmy Award-nominated writer and producer, who is currently under an overall deal at MGM. Most recently, he served as an executive producer on HBO’s DTF St. Louis, starring Jason Bateman and David Harbour, which received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Previously, he co-created Perpetual Grace for Epix. His prior credits include Amazon’s Patriot and the feature St. Sebastian.

Jensen Ackles is a charismatic actor with a proven track record of captivating audiences across television and film. He is best known for his iconic 15-season run as Dean Winchester on the CW’s Supernatural, the longest-running prime-time American sci-fi series in history, and for his critically acclaimed role as Soldier Boy in Amazon’s The Boys. Upcoming, Ackles will star in and produce Vought Rising, a prequel to The Boys set in the 1950s, premiering on Prime Video in 2027, and will return as Russell Shaw in the fourth season of CBS’ Tracker in October 2026. Beyond his acting career, Ackles is a dedicated producer and philanthropist, supporting causes including Random Acts, Creative Action, and Out Youth alongside his wife Danneel.

John Sandford is the pseudonym for the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist John Camp. He is the author of the Prey series, the Kiddnovels, the Virgil Flowers novels, and six other books, including three YA novels co-authored with his wife Michele Cook.
