MILLION STORIES MEDIA LAUNCHES SEASON 2 OF “GEORGE GOES EVERYWHERE”

Travel Series Explores Thrifty Attractions In Six New Cities Across The U.S.

Million Stories, the free financial literacy entertainment channel,  announced Season 2 of the digital budget travel series, “George Goes Everywhere,” hosted by television writer and YouTube personality George Igoe. Season 2 launched at the end of April and is a show where he explores a city and sees as much of it as he can, all without spending more than $100. George explores some well-known locations, activities, restaurants as well as others that are more obscure.  The six new cities (with their premiere date) he visits include Pittsburgh (4/26), Detroit (5/3), Louisville (5/10), Denver (5/17), Phoenix (5/24), Tucson (5/31), and San Diego (6/7).

Join along as George dives into local cultures, food, traditions and history and tours cities’ hidden gems, from a Robot Hall of Fame and bar gold panning, to touring a Whisky factory and glassblowing. A New Jersey native, Igoe has worked for shows such as “Family Guy,” “The Cleveland Show,” and was a writer on CBS’ “Mike & Molly.” No stranger to the world of affordable travel, he developed “Rich Travel / Poor Travel,” a show where he traveled first class with frequent flyer miles, then explored the destination city on a micro-budget.

In addition to “George Goes Everywhere,” the free streaming platform offers a diverse slate of series centering around financial literacy, including “Wags to Riches,” an unforgettable docuseries about animal loving entrepreneurs with unique dreams, and how they found a way to make their passion into their career. “Your Brain on Money” where behavioral economists and neuroscientists decode psychological dynamics resulting from 25 million years of human evolution — all so you can make smarter financial decisions. And the upcoming “Heartbroke,” an inspirational series where money-stressed couples are given six weeks to change their relationships with money, and with each other.

Boo Hag – October 2022

When producers J. Craig Gordon and Phoenix Higgins sought out to write The Boo Hag – a story centered around a demon that poses as a beautiful woman during the day, later revealing herself as a wretched creature at night terrorizing and killing her victims as they sleep – they knew to capture the entire essence of the story, they needed to search within and draw from their own experiences and expertise.

So, what does this folklore and its producers have in common? The Low-country – an area in the U.S. that extends from the Carolinas down to Florida and home to both Gordon and Higgins.

Directed by Jeremiah Kipp, The Boo Hag brings to life the experience of the Gullah Geechee people – descendants of Africans who were brought to America as slaves under a mythical lens. The movie is being filmed in Savannah – a Southern yet historical city recognized as one of the most haunted cities in America – and reveals the true meaning behind the Haint Blue painted doors – an exterior design trend that happens to be no coincidence.

“Born and raised in Savannah puts me in a unique position to tell the story of the Boo Hag. Growing up, I always heard the phrase, ‘Don’t let de Hag ride ya’. It wasn’t until I was about 8 years old when I had my first experience and was ridden by the Hag off and on”, said Gordon.

“I’ve too been ridden by the Boo Hag, so being able to expand upon this legend has been a goal of mine since I can remember”, said Higgins.

Both Gordon and Higgins are co-founders of Film Deco. Gordon, a 15-year content creator has developed feature films, television, and short films. From being a child actor in “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” to selling content to MSNBC and Viacom, he continues to create stories that are squarely in the intersection of sub-culture, history, and wonderment.

Higgins is an award-winning producer and actor and has worked on television shows such as “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn” and “The Chappelle Show”, and films such as “Just A Kiss” and “Vote For Me”.

The Boo Hag is set to release October 2022, in time for Halloween.
