THE WONDERFUL WEIRD WORLD OF GUMBALL | Streaming on Hulu July 28th

Hulu has debuted the official key art for “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball”, a continuation of the BAFTA Children’s and Annie Award-winning series “The Amazing World of Gumball.” Revealed in the new art is the announcement that “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball,” produced by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, will launch Monday, July 28, exclusively on Hulu.

SYNOPSIS: Welcome back to Elmore, where the laws of reality are a joke, and family life is anything but ordinary. CHAD POWERS | Premiering on Hulu on September 30th

Hulu’s half-hour comedy “Chad Powers,” from co-creators and executive producers Glen Powell and Michael Waldron will premiere September 30th. Eli Manning serves as executive producer along with Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown and ESPN. Waldron and Adam Fasullo are executive producing for Anomaly Pictures. Luvh Rakhe will executive produce and Tony Yacenda will serve as director and executive producer. The series stars Powell, who is also co-creating, co-writing and executive producing under his production co-banner Barnstorm Productions.

When bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday’s college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers. Based on the sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series, the half-hour comedy from 20th Television will stream on Hulu. Powell and Waldron co-wrote the pilot.

SPRINGSTEEN: DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE | Only in Theaters October 24th

The all-new feature film, 20th Century Studios’ “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,” chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 “Nebraska” album, a raw, haunted acoustic record that marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works.

Director Scott Cooper, who wrote the script for the screen based on the book “Deliver Me from Nowhere” by Warren Zanes, said, “Making ‘Springsteen’ was deeply moving as it allowed me to step inside the soul of an artist I’ve long admired – and to witness, up close, the vulnerability and strength behind his music. The experience felt like a journey through memory, myth, and truth. And more than anything, it was a privilege to translate that raw emotional honesty to the screen, and in doing so, it changed me. I cannot thank Bruce and Jon Landau enough for allowing me to tell their story.”

From 20th Century Studios, “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 “Nebraska” album when he was a young musician on the cusp of global superstardom, struggling to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past. Recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works—a raw, haunted acoustic record populated by lost souls searching for a reason to believe.

Starring Jeremy Allen White as the Boss, the film is written for the screen and directed by Scott Cooper based on the book “Deliver Me from Nowhere” by Warren Zanes. “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” also features Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s long-time confidant and manager, Jon Landau; Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Doug; Odessa Young as love interest, Faye; Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mom, Adele; Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin; and David Krumholtz as Columbia executive, Al Teller. JEREMIAH FRAITES OF THE LUMINEERS WRITES MUSICAL SCORE FOR LIONSGATE’S “THE LONG WALK”

Jeremiah Fraites, co-founder and songwriter of the two-time Grammy Award-nominated band The Lumineers, has composed the score for Lionsgate’s The Long Walk, the upcoming film from director Francis Lawrence based on the first-written novel by Stephen King. The film will be released in theaters nationwide on September 12.

Of the score, Fraites says, “Francis and I had a really great initial phone call that helped inform what instrumentation we thought would work. Strings and piano felt right in servicing the expected horror you’d find in Stephen King canon. The real challenge for me was going to be writing music that would properly represent the deep relationships these boys were forming while on this brutal walk.”

“We met years ago when the band the Lumineers did a song for the Catching Fire soundtrack—Jeremiah and I had remained friends after that, and stayed in contact. He’d send me vinyl versions of his solo albums and it was exactly that work that made me think he’d be perfect for The Long Walk.”

“I’m forever grateful to Roy Lee and Francis for the opportunity to write my first feature film score,” added Fraites. “It was the thrill of a lifetime to score this film. Having been a fan of Francis’ work already for years, it was definitely a pinch-me moment to realize I was now getting the opportunity to write music over the incredible picture I was being sent.”

Fraites, a two-time GRAMMY-nominated songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist came to prominence as one of the co-founders of the chart topping band The Lumineers. His two solo albums, “Piano Piano” (2021) and “Piano Piano 2” (2023), both topped Billboard’s Classical Crossover chart.. Fraites’ solo work blends classical influences with ambient textures and genre-defying orchestration, showcasing his wide-ranging musical vision. He has also composed music for other mediums, including original pieces for projects such as the documentary Here. Is. Better.

From the highly anticipated adaptation of master storyteller Stephen King’s first-written novel, and Francis Lawrence, the visionary director of The Hunger Games franchise films (Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Pts. 1 & 2, and The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), comes The Long Walk, an intense, chilling, and emotional thriller that challenges audiences to confront a haunting question: how far could you go?

THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING Cast Announcement

Eight-time Oscar nominee GLENN CLOSE has been cast as Drusilla Sickle, the cruel escort to the District 12 Tributes, and three-time Tony Award winner BILLY PORTER as Magno Stift, her estranged husband and the Tributes’ uninspired designer, in Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, an adaptation of the bestselling book by Suzanne Collins.

Close and Porter join Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, Ben Wang, Ralph Fiennes, Elle Fanning, and Kieran Culkin in the announced cast of the film.

Producer Nina Jacobson said, “Glenn Close is a dream Drusilla. She brings so much of her intellect and imagination to each role, creating characters who are unforgettable and iconic. I think Glenn and Francis will have a ball bringing Drusilla from the page to the screen.”

Regarding Porter, Jacobson added, “Billy is one of those rare performers who can dazzle and devastate in equal measure on stage and screen. He made an indelible impression on me when we worked together on Pose, both as an actor and a human being. Casting this show has felt like winning the lottery every time one of our idols said yes to us. To be able to announce Glenn Close and Billy Porter together is an embarrassment of riches that we can all celebrate.”

The film adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will be released on November 20, 2026. Francis Lawrence will direct from a screenplay adaptation by Billy Ray. Color Force’s Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson will produce. Cameron MacConomy will executive produce. The five films in the franchise have taken in over $3.3 billion at the box office.

Published on March 18, Sunrise on the Reaping revisits the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.

Sunrise on the Reaping sold 1.5 million copies in its first week on sale in the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The 1.2 million copies sold in the U.S. are twice the first week sales of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and three times the first week sales of Mockingjay.

Meredith Wieck and Scott O’Brien are overseeing the project for Lionsgate. Robert Melnik negotiated the deal for the studio.

GLENN CLOSE is one of the most celebrated actresses of her generation, with eight Academy Award nominations to her name. She is a three-time Emmy Award winner, three-time Tony Award winner, and three-time Golden Globe winner. Porter just made his West End debut as the Emcee in “Cabaret,” and is making his London directorial debut with the play “This Bitter Earth” at Soho Theatre.
