ANIMALS IN WAR, Premiering on VOD/Digital/FM+ on June 26th
Inspired by true stories, Animals in War is a feature anthology film created by Ukrainian filmmakers in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Featuring Oscar winner Sean Penn alongside a collaboration of Ukrainian and international artists, the drama tells seven independent stories united not by narrative, but by a shared emotional and ethical space.
Through a range of visually arresting artistic styles — blending observational realism with poetic imagery, and at times approaching allegory and fairy tale — war’s destruction comes into focus not through soldiers or battles, but through the animals caught in its wake. A white rabbit, a wolf, a cow and other creatures, both domestic and wild, become witnesses, companions, and sometimes the only reason to survive as cities empty, frontlines shift and the world is instantly reshaped by violence.
War here is portrayed not as spectacle, but as a humanitarian and ecological catastrophe. Children forced to grow up overnight, adults living with loss, and people under occupation making impossible decisions all find themselves bound to animals under the pressure of conflict. Yet alongside the devastation, ANIMALS IN WAR reveals tenderness, moral choice and the enduring power of compassion — a haunting yet deeply moving plea for global awareness, reflection and action.

THE WESTIES | Streaming on MGM+ July 12th
MGM+ released the official trailer, key art and new images for the upcoming drama series, The Westies starring Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons, co-created by Chris Brancato and Michael Panes. The 8-episode series will premiere with two episodes on Sunday, July 12, followed by a weekly release on MGM+ in the U.S., the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia.
The Westies is a gritty and kinetic crime drama centering on New York City’s infamously violent Irish gang of the same name. The series is set in the early 1980s when the construction of the Jacob Javits Convention Center on the Westies’ home turf in Hell’s Kitchen promises a financial windfall. Despite being outnumbered fifty-to-one by the Five Families of the Italian Mafia, the Westies’ legendary brutality and cunning have given them the leverage necessary to share the spoils through a fragile détente. But internal conflict between the brash younger generation and the old-school leadership threatens to set a match to this powder keg, which will sweep the Westies into the FBI’s ever-deepening investigation into the Italian mafia.
The cast includes J.K. Simmons as Eamon Sweeney, Titus Welliver as Glenn Keenan, Tom Brittney as Jimmy Roarke, Stanley Morgan as Mickey Flanagan, Sarah Bolger as Bridget Walsh, Jessica Frances Dukes as Agent Birdie Polk, Hamish Allan-Headley as John Gotti, Vincent Walsh as Eddie Breen, Allen Leech as Brendan Cahill, Hillary McCormack as Erin Malone. Recurring cast members include Aidan Wojtak-Hissong, Jeremy Walmsley, Dylan Taylor and Rohan Mead.

The Spidey Tracker will be available across 35 countries worldwide.
It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see.
The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

BROTHERS | Premieres on Apple TV+ on September 23rd
Apple TV announced that its new eight-episode comedy “Brothers” will make its global debut on Wednesday, September 23 with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through November 4, 2026. Starring and executive produced by Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey and Academy Award-nominee Woody Harrelson, and produced by Paramount Television Studios, “Brothers” is showrun and executive produced by multi-Emmy Award nominee and Peabody winner Lee Eisenberg.
“Brothers” follows McConaughey and Harrelson, who play fictionalized versions of themselves, and whose friendship is thrown into chaos when they uncover a decades-old secret: they might actually be brothers. After Woody’s daughter’s wedding falls apart, he loads up the family and heads to Austin for an extended stay at Matthew’s ranch. But what begins as a healing getaway quickly spirals when Matthew’s mother, Ma Mac (played by Holland Taylor), accidentally lets slip a long-buried secret that the two friends might actually be brothers. As Woody turns the ranch upside down in pursuit of the truth, Matthew finds himself juggling an entirely different identity crisis: a potential run for Governor of Texas. The result is a heartfelt, chaotic, and wildly funny story about friendship, family, fame, and the messy line between myth and reality.
The ensemble cast starring alongside Harrelson and McConaughey includes Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe and Holland Taylor.
“Brothers” is produced for Apple TV by Paramount Television Studios. Eisenberg, McConaughey and Harrelson executive produce alongside Natalie Sandy, David West Read, Trish Hofmann, Bill Bost, Jason Winer, David Finkel & Brett Baer and Jeremy Plager. Trent O’Donnell directs multiple episodes including the pilot.
