The summer movies that are in theaters now are a great escape from the heat and the smoke that seems to be consuming our area. And while we don’t have a ton of announcements from the current releases, we did get a lot of announcements for the fall movies that we’re all going to want to check out in theaters! Don’t miss the local events and even more happening at your local MJR and Emagine theaters. Going to be in Long Beach this summer? TRYING | Season 5 Now Streaming on Apple TV+

Apple TV is excited to share a sneak peek clip from an all-new episode of the critically acclaimed comedy series “Trying” season five, starring and executive produced by BAFTA Award nominee Esther Smith and Actor Award nominee Rafe Spall. Episode two of the eight-episode comedy will debut on Wednesday, July 15 followed by one episode weekly through Wednesday, August 26.

Film Synopsis

The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu. “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” also stars Sigourney Weaver, with Martin Scorsese and Jeremy Allen White lending their voices. The film is directed by Jon Favreau and written by Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni & Noah Kloor.
