TRON: ARES | Streaming on Disney+ January 7th
The new year ushers in a return to the Grid when the epic sci-fi action-adventure Tron: Ares begins streaming January 7 on Disney+. Directed by Joachim Rønning, the newest chapter in the TRON saga invites fans to experience a striking new world and high-velocity spectacle right from home. The edge-of-your-seat action thrusts audiences into a high-stakes clash between artificial intelligence and humanity, powered by cutting-edge visual effects and an electrifying original score by Nine Inch Nails.
Expanding upon the original Tronand Tron: Legacy film series, Tron: Ares is “a
fast-paced, thrilling movie that launches at full throttle and never slows down,” (Jonathan Sim, Coming Soon). Critics also recognize that “Rønning and cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth’s canvas pops with color, contrast and motion, while Nine Inch Nails’ techno-forward score literally rattles your seat” (Joseph Morona, Cleveland.com).
Tron: Ares will be the latest film available in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+, featuring IMAX’s exclusive expanded aspect ratio for all Disney+ subscribers, ensuring that the filmmakers’ creative intent is fully preserved for a more immersive viewing experience at home. Subscribers with certified TVs and AV receivers can also experience IMAX Enhanced sound powered by DTS, featuring the full dynamic range of the original cinematic mix.

SHRINKING | Season 3 – Premiering on Apple TV+ January 28th
Apple TV debuted the trailer for the upcoming third season of its beloved comedy, “Shrinking,” starring Emmy Award-nominee Jason Segel and multi-award winner Harrison Ford, along with acclaimed performances from stars Christa Miller, Emmy Award nominee Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Emmy Award nominee Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley. Created by Emmy Award-winners Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein alongside Segel, “Shrinking” season three will premiere globally with a one-hour season premiere episode on Wednesday, January 28 followed by one new episode weekly, every Wednesday until April 8, 2026 on Apple TV.
“Shrinking” follows a grieving therapist (Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.
In addition to the ensemble cast, “Shrinking” season three brings back guest stars Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick and Cobie Smulders, along with new additions Jeff Daniels and multi-award winner and activist Michael J. Fox.
“Shrinking” is produced for Apple TV by Warner Bros. Television, where Lawrence and Goldstein are under overall deals along with Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black and Bill Posley executive produce.
“Shrinking” marks the third partnership for Apple, Lawrence and Warner Bros. Television, alongside the multi-Emmy Award-winning, global phenomenon “Ted Lasso,” and comedy series “Bad Monkey.” The series also marks the latest collaboration for Apple TV and Goldstein following the Apple Original Film “All of You,” which is now streaming globally on Apple TV. In addition to having previously collaborated with Apple TV in the starring role in Apple Original Films’ “The Sky is Everywhere,” Segel also serves as star, co-writer and producer of the upcoming Apple Original Film “Sponsor.”
