Apple TV debuted the gripping trailer for “Star City,” the highly anticipated new space race drama that expands the world of “For All Mankind,” from award-winning creators Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert and Ronald D. Moore. The bold, eight-episode alt-history series will debut globally on Apple TV with two episodes on Friday, May 29, followed by one new episode every Friday through July 10.

“Star City” is a propulsive paranoid thriller that takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race – when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon. But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humankind forward.

The series stars Rhys Ifans (“House of the Dragon”), Anna Maxwell Martin (“Motherland”), Agnes O’Casey (“Black Doves”), Alice Englert (“Bad Behaviour”), Solly McLeod (“House of the Dragon”), Adam Nagaitis (“Chernobyl”), Ruby Ashbourne Serkis (“I, Jack Wright”), Josef Davies (“Andor”) and Priya Kansara (“Bridgerton”).

“Star City” is created by Nedivi, Wolpert and Moore. Wolpert and Nedivi serve as showrunners and executive produce alongside Moore and Maril Davis of Tall Ship Productions, as well as Andrew Chambliss and Steve Oster. “Star City” is produced for Apple TV by Sony Pictures Television.

RENOIR | Premieres in Theaters Beginning May 29th

Suburban Tokyo, 1987. Imaginative eleven-year-old Fuki begins her summer break lonely and adrift – her kind, terminally ill father has landed once again in the hospital and her mother, distracted by the inevitability of his diagnosis, hasn’t much time for her daughter. Fuki responds to the situation not with tears but with placid curiosity about the prospect of death – becoming fascinated by the occult and experimenting with hypnotism. As the summer passes, Fuki encounters a string of lonely, imperfect adults, all of whom nudge her closer to an emotional truth she isn’t quite ready to name yet.

Chie Hayakawa’s sophomore feature, nominated for a Palme d’Or at Cannes and a Gold Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival, is a tender, often unsettling portrait of childhood grief and the sinuous imagination of an inquisitive young girl. Led by transfixing newcomer Yui Suzuki, RENOIR “delicately articulates the girl’s inner child in a way that allows us to feel it expand across the season,” (IndieWire) and “steps to a delicate rhythm whose echo isn’t heard until the very end” (RogerEbert.com).

Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma | On Demand and Streaming June 2nd

Scatena & Rosner Films is proud to announce the North American release of the writer-director Shane Brady’s star-studded, chaotic revenge-fantasy, horror comedy HACKED: A DOUBLE ENTENDRE OF RAGE FUELED KARMA

“I championed Hacked from day one,” said Zach Stampone, Head of Acquisitions at Scatena & Rosner Films. “The energy around this film was undeniable. It’s insane, absurd, and incredibly fun, driven by rapid-fire editing and quick cuts that give it a chaotic, roller coaster pace. I’m confident it’s going to connect with audiences and perform very well across all platforms.”

Based on true events that happened to Director Shane Brady and Producer Emily Zercher, the film stars The Walking Dead alum Chandler RiggsOwen Atlas (Little Evil), Collin ThompsonRichard Riehle (Office Space), Katelyn Nacon (The Walking Dead), Shane Brady (Breathing Happy), and NHL Hall of Famer and Founder of the Tampa Bay Lightning Phil EspositoHacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma is set to hold a limited theatrical run this May followed by a VOD, digital release on June 2.

“Hacked was born from the simple idea that sometimes getting screwed over can either break you or give you one hell of a story to tell”, said Brady. “I make films to turn pain, chaos, and frustration into something communal, funny, and wildly entertaining, and I’m beyond excited that audiences across North America will get to experience that with S&R Films as our distribution partner.”

“This film is one of the WILDEST rides I’ve ever been on – both as an actor, and as an audience member”, said Riggs. “It’s a constant stream of insanity in the best way possible. I truly had the most fun getting to play Rob “The Chameleon” Huberton, and I can’t begin to express how excited I am that people all across North America will get to experience this movie.”

The Rumble family’s dream of buying their first home turns into a nightmare when Florida’s most elusive hacker, “The Chameleon”, steals their life savings. But this hacker messed with the wrong family…

The bank fails them. The police can’t help. Furious and desperate, they plot a revenge-fueled take down of the hacker, determined to make him pay for every life he’s destroyed. What started as a financial tragedy soon spirals into a fast-paced, darkly comedic adventure to reclaim their money-and their dignity. Revenge has never been this much fun!

“Working on Hacked was an incredible experience”, said Atlas. “Showcasing my MMA skills in the fight scene with Chandler was my favorite part, he was such a good sport about the whole thing. I also really enjoyed playing a character who sets all of the chaos in motion and then has to deal with the consequences of his actions.”

Rounding out Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma’s stellar cast are Augie Duke (Mayans M.C.), Hugh Scott (Deadpool)Brittney Escalante (9-1-1: Lone Star)Glenn Stanton (Chicago Fire), and Mia Castillo (The Fairly Odd Parents: Fairly Odder). The film features music from rock band Underoath, and also prominently features charities NMDP, a global nonprofit leader in cell therapy, and TSC Alliance, dedicated to tuberous sclerosis research and support.

Hacked is for everyone who’s taken a hit, swallowed their rage, and kept going anyway”, said Zercher. “Our goal was to capture the American Dream going completely off the rails and exploding into a wild ride of humiliation, hilarity, and ultimate revenge. We took the fantasies you can’t legally act on in real life and turned them into cathartic cinematic chaos.”

Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma is produced by Emily Zercher and Shane Brady, with Rhondda Stark-AtlasJodi Thompson and Bryan Thompson serving as Executive Producers.

Cinematography is by Emmy Award-Winning Evan Zissimopulos with music by Chris Dudley of Underoath, Kid Baron and Hey Duke You Suck! The film was produced under Brady and Zercher’s production company Spooky Feet Films.

The film world premiered at the Gasparilla International Film Festival where it took home the Award for Best Focus on Florida Feature Film, and went on to screen at Popcorn Frights Film Festival, FilmQuest, the Chattanooga Film Festival, Celluloid Screams, the Soho Horror Film Festival, and the Dunedin International Film Festival where it won Best Comedy – Feature Film and Best Comedic Performance for Chandler Riggs.

“At the end of the day, this is why I make films: to make people feel seen, let them laugh through the madness, and remind them they’re not alone in it”, said Brady.
