CRIMINAL RECORDS | Season 2 Trailer – Streaming on Apple TV+ April 22nd
Apple TV debuted the pulse-pounding trailer for the upcoming second season of the gripping crime thriller, “Criminal Record.” Starring Academy Award and BAFTA winner Peter Capaldi, and Laurence Olivier Award and Critics Choice Award nominee Cush Jumbo, the eight-episode second season will premiere globally on Wednesday, April 22 on Apple TV with the first episode, followed by one episode weekly through Wednesday, June 10.
From BAFTA Award nominee Paul Rutman, “Criminal Record” is a powerful, character-driven drama set in the heart of contemporary London, exploring the impossibility of policing when the truth is up for grabs. In season two, when a young man is stabbed to death at a political rally, rival police officers June Lenker and Daniel Hegarty are forced into an uneasy alliance. But what starts as a hunt for a murderer escalates into an undercover operation to foil a Far-Right bomb plot in the heart of London.
Season two reunites Capaldi as ‘Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty’ and Jumbo as ‘Detective Sergeant June Lenker.’ Dustin Demri-Burns, Luca Pasqualino, Luther Ford, Lyndsey Marshal and Peter Sullivan join the cast in addition to the returning ensemble that includes Shaun Dooley, Stephen Campbell Moore and Charlie Creed-Miles.
“Criminal Record” is produced for Apple TV by Tod Productions and STV Studios, and executive produced by BAFTA Scotland Award winner Elaine Collins , Rutman, Capaldi and Jumbo. The series is directed by Ben A. Williams and Joelle Mae David.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND | On 4K Digital and 4K Blu-Ray May 5th
In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Disney’s animated classic Alice in Wonderland returns in a stunning new 4K restoration, available on digital and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray May 5. The newly restored film will debut with a special one-night-only premiere at the TCM Film Festival on May 1, offering audiences an early look at the vibrant, meticulously remastered and restored presentation before it’s in-home release.
In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Alice in Wonderland has been meticulously restored and remastered in 4K Ultra HD by the Walt Disney Film Restoration team. Over nine months, artists completed a digital scan of the original nitrate Successive Exposure (SE) negatives, followed by extensive clean-up to address dust, warping, and age-related wear. The team also referenced original production artwork preserved by the Walt Disney Animation Research Library to ensure the restoration remained true to the filmmakers’ original intent, collaborating closely with Walt Disney Animation Studios veteran Michael Giaimo to review every shot and refine color and luminance.
“The original animation artists’ work on Alice in Wonderland is stunning, and we’re proud to present it with renewed clarity and vibrancy,” said Kevin Schaeffer, Director of Restoration & Library Management. “This milestone restoration brings new depth and dimension to the film’s imaginative world, offering a vibrant presentation for longtime fans and a new generation of audiences alike.”
Viewers eager to go further down the rabbit hole will find a robust collection of bonus features on the Blu-ray and Digital release, offering rare behind-the-scenes and archival material. Highlights include reference footage with commentary by Alice herself, Kathryn Beaumont, along with classic companion shorts such as Thru the Mirror featuring Mickey Mouse and Alice’s Wonderland from the original Alice Comedies, a selection of deleted scenes, and music videos including “Beware the Jabberwock” and “If You’ll Believe in Me.”
While the film may never answer the riddle “Why is a raven like a writing desk?”, this 75th anniversary edition invites audiences to rediscover its wit, artistry, and enduring charm. The 75th anniversary restoration of Alice in Wonderland presents itself as a very merry “unbirthday” gift for generations of audiences to come.

Apple TV dropped a first-look teaser for “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed,” the highly anticipated darkly comedic thriller from creator and showrunner David J. Rosen, and led by Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black,” “The Monkey”) and Jake Johnson (“New Girl,” upcoming “The Dink”). The half hour, ten-episode series will make its global debut on Apple TV with the first two episodes on Wednesday, May 20, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through July 15.
“Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” follows newly divorced mom Paula (Maslany) as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder and youth soccer. Convinced she witnessed a crime – while simultaneously struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis – Paula begins her own investigation, one that could unravel a greater conspiracy while also holding the keys to rebuilding her family and sense of self.

FIND YOUR FRIENDS | Streaming on Shudder June 12th
Shudder announced that they have acquired writer-director Izabel Pakzad’s searing feature debut FIND YOUR FRIENDS starring Bella Thorne (DIVINITY), Chloe Cherry (EUPHORIA), Helena Howard (MADELINE’S MADELINE), Sophia Ali (UNCHARTED), Zion Moreno (GOSSIP GIRL). The film had its world premiere at Fantasia Film Festival as one of the festival’s headliners, and additionally screened at the Toronto International Film Festival as one of 10 Industry Selects, followed by its US premiere at Fantastic Fest. The deal includes rights in North America, UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Australia, and New Zealand. FIND YOUR FRIENDS will be released on Shudder on June 12, 2026.
FIND YOUR FRIENDS follows Amber and her four best friends as they flee Los Angeles for a girls’ trip in Joshua Tree, only to find themselves unwelcome in a desert town simmering with quiet hostility. As isolation sets in and encounters with aggressive locals grow more threatening, festering resentments within the group begin to surface. What begins as fun and reckless escape spirals into a violent struggle for control and survival, as past wounds and present dangers collide in a night that turns their trip into a revenge-fueled nightmare.
Izabel Pakzad is an Iranian-Greek American filmmaker, writer, and actor. Her short film DON’T WORRY, IT’S GONNA BE OK (2022), which she directed, wrote and starred in, was an official selection at the Oscar-qualifying Raindance Film Festival and Hollyshorts, and also won Best Short Film at the L.A. Film Festival. Previously, Pakzad produced and starred in the independent feature, THENA, opposite Chris Bauer, Virginia Gardner (Fall), Brian Marc (White Girl) Will Peltz (Euphoria), Dakotas Lotus (Cami and Coop), and Malia Baker (The Baby-Sitters Club,). THENA had its world premiere at Taormina Film Festival in June 2025.

Independent Film Company announced that its upcoming road comedy from filmmaker Macon Blair will be released under the new title IDIOTS. Starring Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr. alongside Mason Thames, Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun and Peter Dinklage – the film has been dated for an August 28 theatrical release.
Formerly titled THE SHITHEADS, the raucous ride-along film trails two unqualified bozos (Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr.) who are hired to transfer a rich teen (Mason Thames) to rehab when their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem.

THE COMEBACK KING | In theaters February 5, 2027
The UNTITLED ORIGINAL COMEDY FROM JUDD APATOW AND GLEN POWELL will now be titled THE COMEBACK KING. The film will still release on its previously announced date of Friday, February 5, 2027 – wide.
The film, about a country western star in free fall, is set to star Glen Powell, Cristin Milioti, Madelyn Cline, Stavros Halkias and Li Jin Hao. Judd Apatow will direct. Apatow and Powell wrote the script together.
Apatow will produce through his longstanding Apatow Productions overall deal with the Studio. Apatow’s relationship with the Studio dates back to his 2005 directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and he has since directed Knocked Up, Funny People, This is 40, Trainwreck and The King of Staten Island for the Studio. Barry Mendel and Josh Church will executive produce.
Powell and Dan Cohen will produce through Barnstorm’s first look deal with the Studio. Powell’s relationship with the Studio originates with his starring role in Twisters, which overperformed against all industry expectations, becoming the biggest opening for a natural disaster film ever at the domestic box office and grossing $267.8 million overall in the domestic box office.
Kevin Misher will produce through Misher Films. Misher has a storied history with Universal Pictures, where he was President of Production from 1996-2001 and supervised production for some of the Studio’s most acclaimed features, including Erin Brockovich, The Fast and the Furious, Meet the Parents, and The Mummy. Misher subsequently formed Misher Films, where he has been producing a variety of films over the past two decades, including Fighting With My Family, Coming 2 America and You People.
