There is no doubt that experience shapes you as you get older. A lot of things through life try to break you on the way, but over the years, I’ve learned to keep growing. Not to fracture from the stress. I thrive on stress, I love the feeling of pressure and being over loaded. It may sound counter intuitive, but I’m pretty sure it’s in my DNA and something I’ve inherited from my mother.
The reality is what we live through, what we think was going to break us – does only make us stronger. The pain we feel helps fortify us. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the experiences of my past. I’m proud to be the strong, and maybe slightly crazy, woman who is determined to stand on her own feet. I’m okay in my own skin, despite what others throw at me and I’m confident in where I’m going.
Life throws the most random things at you, and even today I’m reflecting on a relationship that has gone wrong for no real reason. But this isn’t a path I haven’t been down before, and why I’m cautious about how I cultivate relationships. I’ve found that sometimes, it’s easier and better to stay your own course and keep to yourself. I live without regrets, since each moment is a learning moment.
Go out, make mistakes, take the risk and be stronger for it. We may not always succeed, but you will be better for it.
Thank you for reading a story from #BehindTheBlogger Hop. Every 2 weeks a group of bloggers is given a writing prompt. These prompts are very open ended, so our bloggers can write about whatever they desire. The main rule is that their blog post directly relates to the topic of that week. The point of this hop is for our readers to get to know us on a personal level.
Please hop along and read all of the blog posts in this weeks hop. Just click the links below. If you want real and raw emotion, then you will find it here. After you read each post, please comment and share. We want to get to know you too!
