Flight of the Butterflies

Watch the Wonder of Migration in the Flight of the Butterflies

Flight of the ButterfliesDo you remember playing out in your yard and catching butterflies? If you’re like me, you may have noticed a lack of Monarchs in our area over the past several years. We’ve always loved Monarch butterflies, and love seeing them in our yard and gardens. But we only get a glimpse of them in the summer, but not where they go after the warm months ends.

I was sent a copy of Flight of the Butterflies, formatted for IMAX and Giant screens – a documentary on the Monarch butterflies, their life cycle and their migration patterns. As a child we’d capture the caterpillars and release them once they turned into butterflies. The documentary not only shows you up close and personal what is happening to the butterflies as they make their change, but where they go when the summer ends in our area. It’s breath taking and one that anyone who loves Monarchs will love to watch.
