We’re always in a constant battle in our house to keep our floors clean. Luckily, our home has hard surfaces throughout, but that doesn’t stop messes from happening, and of course cat hair accumulating. As we prepare for guests to come for the holiday seasons I’m even more vigilant about keeping the floors clean and cat hair free. Instead of pulling out three different tools to keep our floors clean, I just pull out the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away.
We were sent a Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away to test out for the holiday season. We’re familiar with Shark when it comes to vacuums, but we hadn’t seen anything as in depth as the Lift-Away. The Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away isn’t just a vacuum, it also has extensions that will replace your steam mop, hand held vacuum and detailing tools. All together the Lift-Away is a powerful tool wrapped into a bagless vacuum that is easy to use and loaded with power.
The Lift-Away does require some assembly out of the box, with the vacuum and main control snapping together. The bagless vacuum and control section slides on the main handle and is connected to the vacuum with the hose. Other extensions can be added using the hose and can be used with the same power switch. Like many other Shark vacuums, there aren’t too many extra buttons and you control the vacuum head with your foot instead of a paddle. The main power and lift away function are on the top of the canister, and the speed control is right at your finger tips which activates the turbo brush.
With so much packed inside the Lift-Away, you would expect the vacuum to be heavy and overwhelming. Instead it is light weight and moves easily over the floor and between hard and soft surfaces. The vacuum head tilts with a flick of your wrist and makes it easy to clean in tight spaces and around corners. The vacuum is very powerful and it will actually pull you along with it and you may notice it takes a little arm strength to keep it under control.
Even though our floors are cleaned multiple times a week, I was shocked at how much the Lift-Away picked up as I ran it through the house. The extra long cord actually reached from one end of our house to the other. And when i was done, it was as easy as removing canister and dumping the dirt, cat hair and fuzz into the trash can.
