Growing up in Michigan, it’s always tradition to go “North” in the summer. Everyone’s definition of North is a bit different and how far you are willing to drive. But one destination in the northern part of Michigan keeps catching the eye of travel lovers – Traverse City. The city is known throughout the state as a destination for summer trips, for the Cherry Festival and beautiful sights. But if you are planning your ultimate trip to Traverse City where do you look for trip ideas?
Newly released is the ultimate guide book for travelers, 100 Things to Do in Traverse City Before You Die. The book is a fantastic buck list for locals, travelers and just those passing through. Head off the beaten path and to places that only locals may know about (or may not even know about!) and explore Traverse City like you never could before.
We were sent a copy of 100 Things to Do in Traverse City Before You Die, to check out before we hit the road this summer. Yes, there were a few things we knew about to do in the area already but the majority of the book is filled with new places for us to enjoy and check out. From local restaurant options, the best burger and places that would be great for our new photo shoot – we found the book the perfect resource to pack with us for our trips North. The smallish size of the book makes it easier to pack than an atlas and it contains so much information than you’d find in a few articles about things to do in the area.
Written by a local travel writer, Kim Schneider, the book is perfect to kick start your wanderlust and get you heading back up the coast of Lake Michigan to this unique and beautiful destination.
