In September Verizon sent me the new Droid Ultra to review. I’ve had Droids for a while now, so at first the phone didn’t wow me. It has it’s stalkerish features, but it has a lot of other fun things I’ll write about later.
Since it is a Droid, it has a lot of familiar features and apps that I use on a daily basis. Some help save a little bit of time during the day, others help keep me on task. Below are some of my top app picks, feel free to tell me what other apps should make the list! All apps listed below are free, but some have paid options as well!
Have you tried Evernote yet? It’s a freeware version of OneNote. I have it installed on my pc and all of my devices. You can add photos, notes, spreadsheets and access them anywhere remotely.
Daily to-do lists, shopping lists, or just notes this is a must have to stay organized!
This guy has saved my tail a few times. Running low on gas and not near home? Pull up Gas Buddy to find a station near you. Or check around for the lowest price.
Need a free 5 GB cloud server? Store your images, your documents and more! Secure and safe to keep your files instantly accessible. Sync your computer with your phone, tablet and more. Upgrade to 25 (additional) GB for only $2.50 a month.
For the Social Media guru on the go! Tweet, post on fb and Google+ all with one status. Perfect for bloggers or someone who is socially connected. Free accounts include up to 5 social media accounts, but you can upgrade to pro for more accounts!
Get access to your Kroger card on your phone. Load coupons on the go, or their Friday Freebies with a quick touch. See current ads and save money while you shop!
This one is a bit dangerous – or at least has been for me! Preview and reserve movies with just a click on your screen. Want a movie right when it comes out? Click click rent! A fantastic way catch every movie you want, and afforably!
My Period Calendar
This one is for the ladies! A Free app to track your monthly cycle. Chart your mood, your start date, your end date even when you’re ovulating. Great to keep your on track and schedule.
Bar Code Scanner
A shopper’s must have! Grab this app and scan any bar code. It will help you check prices of items not marked in the store, find out where you can get it cheaper or even find it online!
Mperks, Meijer Meal box, coupons and more. Plan a meal, shopping trip or get the newest freebie offer. Check it in store on the go to save more money!
Similar to the Bar Code Scanner app, but reads QR codes with all of the additional information. Great for networking or shopping at tech stores that give you extra information in their QR codes. Added bonus – you can make your own QR code with this app, and even change the colors!
These are some of my favorite apps on my Droid. There are several great ones out there, what is your favorite? Did I miss any that would help you save time, money or even your sanity?
