In September Verizon sent me the new Droid Ultra to review. I’ve had Droids for a while now, so at first the phone didn’t wow me. It has it’s stalkerish features, but it has a lot of other fun things I’ll write about later.
Since it is a Droid, it has a lot of familiar features and apps that I use on a daily basis. Some help save a little bit of time during the day, others help keep me on task. Below are some of my top app picks, feel free to tell me what other apps should make the list! All apps listed below are free, but some have paid options as well!
Evernote
Have you tried Evernote yet? It’s a freeware version of OneNote. I have it installed on my pc and all of my devices. You can add photos, notes, spreadsheets and access them anywhere remotely.
Daily to-do lists, shopping lists, or just notes this is a must have to stay organized!
Gas Buddy
This guy has saved my tail a few times. Running low on gas and not near home? Pull up Gas Buddy to find a station near you. Or check around for the lowest price.

Similar to the Bar Code Scanner app, but reads QR codes with all of the additional information. Great for networking or shopping at tech stores that give you extra information in their QR codes. Added bonus – you can make your own QR code with this app, and even change the colors!
These are some of my favorite apps on my Droid. There are several great ones out there, what is your favorite? Did I miss any that would help you save time, money or even your sanity?
