Toaster Oven Mini Banana Cakes in a Panasonic FlashXpress

Panasonic FlashXpress ReviewNot everyone is super confident in the kitchen, or works well with a large oven. And some prefer the ease of a toaster oven, due to the size and the fact that it wont heat up the whole house. It’s perfect for smaller portions, or a quick snack. it cooks a lot faster than a conventional oven.

Panasonic FlashXpress ReviewI’ve always baked in the traditional way with the oven. But as the summer days heat up, I still want to bake but don’t want to heat up the house. So when Panasonic sent me their FlashXpress Toaster Oven to review, I wanted to put it to the test. What can you really make inside the toaster oven other than.. well toast. I’ll be honest, I had never used a toaster oven before.. ever!

Panasonic FlashXpress ReviewThe FlashXpress impressed me from the beginning, it’s small size has a lot of power packed inside. Overall it’s only 10 inches x 26 inches x 12 inches, and weights a whole whopping 7.5 pounds. But inside you can still fit a 9 inch pizza or four slices of bread. It comes with automatic timers for bread, toast, waffles, bagels, pizza, hash browns, rolls, and leftovers. It even has a digital temperature gauge that goes from 250 degrees up to 500 degrees. And the FlashXpress uses double infrared lights, which heats up immediately and cooks 40% faster than conventional toaster ovens. The FlashXpress comes with a removable crumb tray and it even has a pan that you can bake inside included.

To use the FlashXpress, simply plug it in, press the power button, and select your cooking mode. It’s that easy! And to put it to the test, I grabbed some ingredients and whipped up some delicious Banana Cake for two! It’s pretty easy, and baked in no time.

toaster oven banana cake recipeI am impressed with how quickly and well our mini cakes came out. And it was nice to be able to see them as the toaster oven lit up while it was cooking, you could visually see how close to done they were. Overall, I like how easy it is to bake in the FlashXpress. The smaller size makes it perfect to stash in the cupboard when not in use, and it didn’t heat up the house on an already warm day! The Panasonic FlashXpress would be great for college dorms, apartments or people who just don’t want to use the oven.
