Easter Traditions

Growing up Easter was always an exciting holiday in our house. Not only did our parents hide the Easter Baskets somewhere in the house (it’s always a bit too cold to put them outside). But they would create trails for us to follow to get to them that included treats and change. My sister and I followed those trails and searched the whole house and happily sat in the living room with our riches of pennies and nickels to put in our piggy banks and chocolate eggs to enjoy later.

Easter Traditions

Over the years, our traditions have changed. Even as adults, we still do an egg hunt through the yard that whoever finds the most wins a cash prize (since other than Goonie – we’re all adults!)

Each year for our holiday meal we change it up a bit more too – with a fun theme that no one knows what to expect when they show up! We’ve had parties that were Rock n’ Roll themed, Pirate Parties, Moustaches and more. The main theme of course is being together and having fun. We love taking the time to sit down to a big family dinner where we end up laughing more than we end up eating – and each year, we’ll change it up just a little more. Our parties have even included Cascarones where we had a great egg smashing party in the side yard.

Easter Traditions

Easter is one of the most celebrated and cherished holidays and we’re super excited to partner with Catholic Central to celebrate this time of new life and transformation. We have a great guide to Easter and how you can make your celebration an epic one! As well as video guides behind the traditions!

  1. We like to do Easter egg hunts for the kids, and usually go to a local restaurant that has an excellent Easter buffet.
