Three Barbie Movie Events in Local Detroit You Wont Want to Miss

Barbie and her fans are about to take over metro Detroit! From a fun beach party with custom cocktails downtown that is free to attend, to special screenings and more. If you’re a huge Barbie fan and you can’t wait for the movie to hit theaters on the 21st – you’re going to want to check out these events!

The Barbie Beach Party – Thursday, July 13th

Ahead of the nationwide debut of the highly anticipated film “Barbie,” The Beach at Campus Martius Park will turn into Barbie Land with a free “Barbie”-themed Beach Party presented by the Downtown Detroit Partnership and Warner Bros. Pictures.

Barbie lovers are encouraged to dress up in Barbie pink, take advantage of fun photo opportunities inside a life-size Barbie box, sip on a ‘Pink Dream’ cocktail (coconut rum, orange juice, cranberry juice, pineapple juice and grenadine with a sugar rim, topped with a cherry and pineapple juice) beachside at BrisaBar, enjoy all-natural cotton candy hand-spun with love from Spun Sugar Detroit, take home fun “Barbie”-themed giveaways and show off their best Barbie attire for a chance to win reserved VIP seats to the advance screening of the long-awaited “Barbie” movie on the big screen.

Attendees can also enjoy live music from Detroit-based DJ Thornstryker and Mami Wata, as part of the Downtown Detroit Partnership’s ongoing Beach Party series offering free entertainment from top local and regional bands and DJs on Thursdays throughout the summer – all while soaking in the views and vibes at Downtown Detroit’s urban oasis.

What: Emagine Royal Oak and Emagine Palladium will be hosting a special Bubbles & Brunch event where guests can pay $50 per person for an $8 movie ticket to see BARBIE along with a delicious buffet, and bottomless mimosas for 1.5 hours prior to the start of the movie. There will be a morning and early afternoon featured event.
