Last year we were introduced to The Rootlets – kids get super powers by eating their favorite fruits and vegetables. The book, targeted at ages 5-8, helps teach young school aged children about healthier eating habits as well as make friends with some new lovable characters.
Following the success of their original book, The Rootlets is introducing their second in their series “Trouble at Plantasy Land”. The follow up book takes our favorite fruit and veggie fueled heroes on a trip to Plantasy Land and amusement park made out of fruits and vegetables. But there’s a problem – something is destroying the park, and the Rootlets have to figure out what’s going on.
The book is an introduction to an early chapter book, and one that will grab your kids attention. The book has a simple story, but one that kids will enjoy and with the underlying message about the good food choices that can be made. The book is a fun book to read together, or one you can allow them to practice their reading skills on. But we absolutely love the underlying healthy eating story!
