The Luxurious Cars of the NFL’s Biggest Talents

The world’s biggest sport stars command salaries and bonuses that mere mortals can only dream of. Make it big in the National Football League (NFL), and a world of unfathomable riches awaits. For example, last year, Pittsburgh SteelersT.J. Watt put pen to paper on a $112 million four-year contract extension that guaranteed him at least $80 million. On average, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes earns $45 million per season. It is no surprise that players in the NFL have some of the most sought-after and luxurious cars that money can buy.

Miami Dolphins Tuo Tagovailoa

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was on cloud nine when he signed a $30.3 million professional contract, which included a $19.6 million signing bonus; all of Tagovailoa’s Christmases had come at once. Family is important to the Hawaii native, so it was unsurprising that Tagovailoa treated his nearest and dearest to new homes and a new set of wheels. Tagovailoa bought his mother a brand-new Cadillac Escalade worth in the region of $80,000.

Tagovailoa splashed out on a new car for himself, a BMW i8. The man who has helped turn the Miami Dolphins into a team most Florida sports betting sites think could challenge for the Super Bowl bought the sporty hybrid because it is so low down that none of his family members would want to or could drive it! We are sure the 420lb-ft of torque and 0-60 acceleration of 4.4 seconds were factors in Tagovailoa’s decision to spend $150,000 on a new car.

Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers

While Tagovailoa’s NFL career is in its relevant infancy, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has almost 250 games behind him since 2005. One of the best-ever quarterbacks, Rodgers has earned an estimated $350 million from his on and off-the-field activities. Rodgers has spent a fair chunk of that money on a lavish car collection.

Rodgers’ first significant investment into his car collection was his 2011 Chevrolet Camero. He won this car after guiding the Packers to victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. There were internet rumors that Rodgers was the owner of the Mercedes Benz Maybach “Exelero,” a one-off car that commands an $8 million price tag! A 5.9 liter V12 twin-turbo engine powers the luxury car and produces 725lb-ft of torque at 2500 RPM. It has a top speed of 218 miles per hour and hits 60 miles per hour in under 4.5 seconds, despite having a curb weight of 5,864 lbs. Rodgers has never confirmed nor denied he owned this fantastic vehicle at some point.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tom Brady

Tom Brady is another elite-level quarterback whose love for making crucial touchdown passes is only surpassed by the joy he receives from sitting behind the wheel of a supercar. Brady has earned more than $300 million from his salaries and at least that from endorsement deals. Like his rival Rodgers, Brady is passionate about fast, special-edition cars.

Brady is the proud owner of one of 30 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport worldwide. The Bugatti is a ridiculous hypercar and holds the record for the fastest road-legal car in existence, with a top speed of more than 253 miles per hour. How much did Brady pay for the 8.0 liter quad-turbo W16? A cool $1.7 million.

British carmaker Aston Martin launched a marketing campaign in 2018 with Brady and created the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante Tom Brady Signature Edition. Only 12 were made, and Brady simply had to acquire one. The 6.0-liter V12 unit produces 465lb-ft of torque, has 595 bhp, and propels the beautiful-sounding car to 60 miles per hour in only 3.5 seconds.
