Over the last couple of years we’ve seen a surge of subscription boxes. Pretty much everyone I know gets one or has tried one out before. It’s the monthly surprise that we love and inside you can get a variety of items based around your interests. There are so many of them out there, that finding one you want to try out can be the hard part.
With the holidays so close, we’ve put together some of our favorite subscription boxes out there and ones that would make great gifts for someone on your list or even yourself. Subscriptions range in price, but can pretty much fit every budget, and that monthly joy of opening a surprise box is the gift that keeps on giving!
Fandom of the Month:
This is one of my personal favorites and one I subscribe to myself. Not only do you get 3-5 pieces of geeky jewelry a month, but it comes with a themed bag and a magnet as well. The box allows girls to explore and express their own fandom with pop culture as well sci-fi and other geeky topics. The best part, each box is only $13 and shipping – it’s hard pressed to find that amount of cute and wearable jewelry for that price in any other fandom boxes. Over the last couple of years, there have only been a couple that I didn’t like and that was because I didn’t know the show!
LEGOs and building bricks seem to be targeted to kids, and they love them – but so do adults! Brick Loot is a great gift idea for builders of all ages. Not only do you get custom and exclusive sets that will work with LEGOs and other building bricks but you get numbered artwork, fun toys and new characters. It’s a fun option for kids of all ages, and each month is a fun surprise theme!
GingerSnapCrate is probably one of the more unique subscription boxes I’ve seen to date. You uploaded images and THEY choose the items your images go on making you custom gifts. The first time we did it, it sounded a bit scary to me. But the results were fantastic! From artwork with motivational saying on it, bags, mugs and so much more. You can choose your own adventure in the size of crate you want, and you never know what you’ll get – it’s fun, creative and you end up with gifts to share!
The Happy Trunk:
Want to make learning more fun for your kids? Why not look at getting them a subscription to The Happy Trunk, a monthly STEAM based subscription box. Create your own eco-systems in jars, build new projects and more. Each month is a new activity, and even better – one that is educational. We create and grew our own world inside our own Terrarium, and it’s still alive over a year later! There’s so much to explore in the world and The Happy Trunk makes it fun for kids to learn while they do it.
Do you have a future builder in our life? Or maybe you want to learn more about how things work. Creation Crate is the box for you! Each month you’ll get a box filled with parts and instructions to make your own small project. This is perfect if you want to learn how electronics work, how things go together or your kids want to learn more about how things work. Perfect for STEM and STEAM projects for kids, we loved the feeling of satisfaction that we got when we finished building our own light that came in our first box. There are so many fun projects, and each month you learn a new skill with each project.
Do you like organic items? How about trying out beauty items that you wouldn’t normally pick up? That is what you’ll find inside each and every Prospurly box. Add in some motivational items and you’re set for a monthly subscription box that will not only help fuel your soul but your body as well. Prospurly is the perfect gift for the health conscious person on your list, those who love natural items, and those who want to try it out.
Crated with Love:
Need Date night ideas? Or want a change in pace from the same old same old? It’s time to get Crated with Love, a monthly date in a box. You can send one or get it for yourself, and the best part is it’s a choose your own adventure style – choose what part of the dates you want to try out. We received the Bet on my Love box which was filled with games that you can play to learn more about each other or to create your own perfect date night. It’s a fun spin on the traditional date night and helps shake things up a bit!
