Since the beginning of this year, it seems like everything has changed. From needing to fill up our gas tanks every few days, to every couple weeks. With more people working at home, their relationships with their cars have changed with their commute times being cut down to a walk across the house. While this may not be the case for everyone, a large number of people are changing how they are looking at their cars and what they’re doing with them.
This change in relationship with how we use our cars has actually made car insurance companies give rebates and has drivers considering different uses. While a lot of cars are sitting in the driveway more, the trips they do take out are more essential and take advantage of the new “curbside society” that we have become.
That said cars are still an essential aspect of our modern lifestyles and our society. Those on the cusp of passing their test could be forgiven for continuing with the process in some form or another. If this sounds like you, you might like to learn more about G1 test here, and benefit from the Buick as a first car or new family car.
However, since we are not going as many miles as we were before – we need new things inside the car to keep us working and entertained while we wait for our groceries, orders or whatever else we have set for our curbside pickup.
Throughout our state, and especially in Metro-Detroit a lot of areas have been offering contact free Farmer’s Markets. And this has been one of our primary ways for us to pick up groceries and essentials, with a weekly trip down to Eastern Market. We received an email from General Motors asking if we wanted to check out their 2020 Buick Enclave Avenir for a trip to the Farmer’s Market and see how the technology inside the vehicle worked with today’s needs for a busy family.
Stay Connected Wherever You Go
While we absolutely love the curbside and contact free pick up option at the farmers market, grocery store or any other major retailer, there is a part that we’re not a huge fan of – the waiting. We may get the text that our items are ready, but once you get to the pick up location and check in – you may find yourself waiting, and sometimes that wait can be upwards of an hour.
During that time, this is when the technology bundled inside the Buick Enclave comes in handy. Not only will you be able to stay connected to your entertainment with Android Auto, or Apple Car Play but the vehicle offers it’s own wifi hot spot. This is perfect for shooting off more emails, or even dialing in remotely on your computer if you have to conduct a meeting while you wait. Of course, the wifi is also great for keeping kids entertained in the backseat so they can easily stream their shows or games without taking up precious data on your cell package.
From built in navigation, climate control and wifi – the Buick Enclave is made to keep you comfortable wherever life takes you. But it’s in the smaller details that made us like the vehicle. One simple dial became my favorite part of the car – especially in this curbside society.
Often when I’m doing curbside pick up, I struggle to find the latch to open the trunk of my car. The Enclave makes this easy, and it will make it so you can easily get the curbside pick up an control the back hatch of the vehicle without actually getting out. The dial is on the driver side door and offers two ways to open the back – fully or 3/4 of the way and you can simply select the one you want and hit it and it will open. A second press of the button closes the gate. This means you wont have to get in and out of the vehicle to get your produce, or any other item you are picking up.
Comfort is Included for All Passengers
But the Buick Enclave doesn’t just stop at technology, it has full comfort in mind for the passengers. The mid-sized SUV offers seating for 7 in a beautiful leather. Seats are adjustable and offer heated and ventilated seats to keep comfort at a maximum. The front driver and passenger even have 4 way power lumbar seating so that you can have the perfect driving experience each time. Once you have your settings perfect, you can also program it into memory so you just have to push one button when you switch drivers.
Back seat passengers not only have plenty of leg room, but they have the ability to control their comfort in the back seat as well. From adjusting their own temperature, to heating and cooled seats – they can take control of almost everything they need in the back seat. This is of course something that can be controlled from the front as well, but older kids and adults can control whatever they need without distracting the driver.
As far as staying connected, the WIFI in the Enclave can connect several devices as well. If you have a longer wait for your pick up or plan on hitting the road for a road trip – the Enclave has what you need inside as well. With USB Ports throughout the vehicle, 120 V outlet that allows you to plug in your laptop or other devices and even wireless charging in the vehicle, you will stay connected and charged as you go.
