There’s nothing that says the holiday season like hot chocolate and peppermint. But when it’s combined in a blended drink – it’s one of our absolute favorite things. But the cost of getting one when we’re out can get expensive, and we’re not sure of what ingredient they’re using. And while we love making our own milkshakes at home, I’m not a huge fan of pulling out our huge blender to make one or two drinks. The clean up, alone is enough to keep the blender shelved for only special projects.
That’s exactly why a hand blender, or immersion blender, is one of my favorite kitchen items to have on hand. Not only does that mean we can blend directly in the bowl, cup or pan, but the smaller parts means more flexibility on how we can make our recipes. So when Mealthy sent us their new Handblend product to try out, we had to put it to the test with one of our favorite recipes.
The Mealthy Handblend is an affordable immersion blender that has everything you need to make several recipes with one tool. It comes with the blender stick attachment, a whisk attachment, a chopper bowl and a smoothie cup. You can use the Handblend to do the trivial tasks like chopping onions or vegetables, to making your favorite drinks. And as an added bonus, all of the attachments are dishwasher safe on the top rack, which means quick and easily clean up.
We were surprised with the quality of the Mealthy HandBlend for under $30, which is a lot more affordable than a lot of its competitors on the market. Built from sturdy stainless steel, you can feel the heft and weight in your hands. The top has a dial that can adjust the speed up to ten different speeds or you can push the Turbo button on the front for a quick pulse of energy. You can feel the power in your hands as you use the HandBlend.
We usually use our immersion blender this time of year to make our favorite cream soups or applesauces. But making our own blended frozen hot chocolate was just what we needed and the Mealthy HandBlend was the perfect tool for the job.
