She-Ra and the Princesses of Power First Look

Any child of the 80’s is thrilled with the most recent releases from DreamWorks Animation. When they released Voltron, we were thrilled, and we’ve been counting down the days until we saw the re-lease of She-Ra. But our wait is a lot shorter now, since DreamWorks announced today that the first season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will be making it’s appearance on Netflix on November 16th.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is the story of an orphan named Adora (Carrero), who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.

Our childhoods is coming back to television when She-Ra hits this fall. If the show is made with the same sensitivity to the fan’s memory of the show like Voltron was, we all will be happy to see the the return of the princess and her battles. Talk about major girl power! Just wait until we see the new toys for She-Ra as well – let’s hope there’s some great new Pops and other characters to add to our collections.
