It’s official! The holiday party season is starting, which means a lot of traveling and delivering sweet goodies to party to party. I have an adorable cupcake stand, but it doesn’t travel well. I’ve experienced frosting melt downs, smudges, and sprinkle spills. My poor passenger seat is always a bit messy after the party season!
This year Good Cook send me their Sweet Creations Cupcake Carrier and stand to feature in the Christmas Countdown. I knew immediately what I would use the stand for – we have a special occasion coming up, which of course means cupcakes! The stand not only is serving the cupcakes at this weekend’s party but it’s also part of the party decor!
Tomorrow is a good friend’s Bridal Shower. When we started talked about doing the shower, the only direction she gave us was her colors were going to be red and gold, and the party was going to be near the holidays. Not a ton to go on, but we’ve built a beautiful party around the simple design ideas. But I instantly knew I wanted to make red velvet cupcakes with an almond buttercream frosting, gluten free of course!
While the cupcakes baked I started to add the finishing touches on the cupcake carrier. The top two layers of the Sweet Creations Cupcake Carrier have a lace patter pieced into the plastic. While it’s adorable on it’s own, you can take a ribbon that would match your party decor. It’s a simple touch, and really easy to do, but it changes the whole look of the cupcake carrier!
The Sweet Creations Cupcake Carrier can hold 24 cupcakes or 40 cakepops! You can even re-arrange the stand three different ways, for your parties, for on the go or even just for displaying your cupcakes or cakepops.
The cupcake carrier was extremely easy to assemble, the lids slide into each other and stack easily. The different layers are arranged on support poles that are screwed together. When it’s not in use the whole system fits together in about the space of a large mixing bowl. Since the stand and the carrier lids are all plastic the whole system is easily washable.
This has easily taken the place of my old cupcake stand, and I can see it being on the go with me to every holiday party we’re going to this year. This is easily a kitchen essential for me, and was a quick favorite.
As easy as it was to customize the cupcake stand, Good Cook also sent me some of their Red Snowflake Cupcake Papers and matching cupcake boxes. Before they sent the items they didn’t know what I was using the cupcake carrier for, but the papers and boxes match the party decor perfectly. The only warning I have is the amount of red food coloring in the red velvet cupcakes make the white snowflakes a bit harder to see!
