Sony Xperia Tablet Review
My boyfriend is always looking for “the one” when it comes to tablets. He has tried out a few, but hasn’t found one that he’s ready to commit to yet. Because he’s still trying to find the right one, Verizon Wireless sent him a Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet to try out, and see if it’s just the right one for him.

So what’s the big deal about the Sony Xperia Z2 tablet? It’s a full 10.1 inch HD touch screen tablet fully loaded with Android, apps and allows you to do whatever you want.

While most tablets can make that same claim – the Xperia Z2 is also water proof. Yes, you can dunk it in the pool, or read a book in the bathtub and not worry about dropping it. Want to watch your favorite Netflix show or keep playing candy crush – there’s no worry about your tablet getting damaged.

We actually tested out to see if the tablet would work in the water, which I will say is pretty scary! It’s not something you do without hesitation the first time. While it doesn’t seem like the first place you’d take it, the Xperia took a shower while an episode was finishing up on Netfix. There goes that excuse of waiting for that episode to finish up! It worked great while in the shower, however – running water did make the screen hard to use and it did respond a little different.

I don’t think the shower is the ideal place for the Xperia, but if you’re floating in a pool, drop it in the tub or have a glass of milk spill on it you don’t have to worry about it being ruined. You don’t know how many of my friends have lost their phones and other devices to glasses of milk or breakfast meals gone wrong with their kids.

The Xperia Z2 is extremely sleek and streamlined. The volume button sticks out slightly, but the only button you will find that actually visually sticks out is the power button. This makes it easy to find. The streamline design did cause a little confusion at first, because we couldn’t find the place to put the charging cord in! It’s actually hidden in a little door on the side that opens up, but maybe hard to open the first time if you don’t have nails to open it. That might be my only complaint about the Xperia Z2, because I could see it possibly falling off after several uses. But otherwise, careful use and replacement of the flap will make it last a lot longer.

The Sony Xperia Z2 is loaded with great apps, fun games for kids and adults and is powered by Android – so there’s not much it wont run. It’s the perfect size for purses or even camera bags, and it even takes great photos! There’s a lot of great features built into this little tablet.

You can find the Xperia Z2 on Amazon and at your local Verizon store!
