Sonic The Hedgehog Races Home to Digital This Week

When Sonic the Hedgehog came to theaters, fans of the character were still holding their breathes to see if it would be something they enjoyed. And fans of all ages love the movie. Taking inspiration from its video game history, Sonic the Hedgehog is a fun movie that not only makes you want to pull out your Sega and play the game like you did as a kid.

Following the journey of Sonic and the Donut Lord, fans are introduced to their favorite characters with nods to the original game and lands tossed in throughout it. From the opening credits that show clips from the original game, a town named after different game levels from the map, ring sound effects and some characters you may not see coming.

Despite just hitting theaters last month, Sonic the Hedgehog is coming to Digital release on the 31st. This early digital release means fans can enjoy the fast paced movie over and over again but also enjoy great bonus features including the making of, bloopers, around the world in 80 seconds and even commentary.

While fans were worried about the design of Sonic originally, they’ll be able to find out more about what went into the making the character and bringing Sonic and the whole story to life.
