slow cooker honey baked applesOh slow cookers.. is there anything they can’t do? Breakfast, lunch, dinner and let us not forget dessert! If you’re like most people, you have a ton of people coming over for a big holiday party tomorrow. Maybe you forgot to pick up things for something sweet to end your meal – it’s time to turn to your slow cooker and get something tossed together. I’ll be honest here, these Slow Cooker Honey Spiced Baked Apples are some of the easiest sweet treats to put together and not worry about. And one of my favorite things – they’re mostly healthy!

  • 4-6 apples (really as many as your slow cooker will hold)
  • 1 cup Gluten Free Muesli
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup raw Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Water

Directions: 

  1. slow cooker honey baked applesIn a small bowl toss together your cinnamon and muesli, set aside.
  2. Wash your apples and cut off the top so you have a flat surface. Core and remove any seeds. It’s ok if you go all the way thru the base of the apple.
  3. Fill each apple cavity with the muesli mixture. Drizzle the honey over the top of your apples and split the butter over the top of each apple.
  4. Pour your water into the base of your slow cooker (not over the apples)
  5. Cook on high for 2 1/2 hours or until your apples are soft.
  6. Enjoy warm, top with ice cream or yogurt.
