While we love the feeling of the sun on our skin and getting a healthy tan – we also have to consider protecting ourselves. While you can find a large variety of sun screen to choose from, what do you use to protect your hair?
By the end of the summer, I have wonderfully highlighted hair. But the sun is actually damaging my hair at the same time. You have all seen the “over cooked” hair on someone walking by in the summer – we love getting the benefits of the sun but we need to prevent the damage to our hair.
The product is paraben free, uses organic extracts, cruelty free, sustainable and made in the US. It’s made using shea butter to help keep your hair hydrated and uses a wheat cross polymer to help keep your hair flexible and strong.
The instructions are simple: “Mist throughout clean, towel-dried hair For best color protection, comb through to ends to deeply preserve. Do not rinse. Style as usual. Can be used throughout the day.”
Sounds simple enough right?
I’ve been using the product every day for the last couple weeks. After I towel dry my hair I just simply mist on the Shielo. I’ve done this on days I’ve allowed my hair to air dry or days I’ve blow dried and styled my hair. Either way I use it, I end up with shiney soft hair throughout the day. I have re-applied it throughout the day either, just at the very start of the day.
I like knowing that it’s a natural product that can help protect my hair from the sun. This is definitely a great tool to have in your summer hair kit!
