Like most people, I love being pampered from time to time. With my busy schedule, my usual pampering is only every other month or so at the nail salon around the corner. While it’s a nice escape from reality for a bit, watching whatever they put on TV and sharing the time with random people isn’t always relaxing.
When traveling, I love taking some time out for me and actually relaxing. That is one of the real joys of travel isn’t it? While we were up at Boyne Mountain last month, they invited us to check out The Spa at Boyne Mountain and enjoy a pedicure and relaxation time. The Spa at Boyne Mountain is unlike any spa I’ve been to in the past, and the views are ones that you’ll be happy to enjoy while you sit back and enjoy some quiet time.
Nestled between the on site Starbucks and a gift shop at the Boyne Mountain Lodge is Spa is the The Spa at Boyne Mountain. Offering beauty products, robes and products up front, the real treat is once you go back into the spa section. They offer a variety of massages, pedicures and manicures, waxing services and more. With eco-friendly products, guests are invited in to relax and unwind from their daily lives or after a long day on the slopes.
Having been to several nail salons over the years, I’m use to having the large massaging pedicure chairs. The Spa at Boyne Mountain offers a newer design of massaging chair who’s pedicure tub actually fits into the base of the chair. With tables and locking areas that not only provide guest a place to put their items, but also the spa technician areas to work massages from. The newly update chairs are a treat while you’re getting a pedicure.
While you’re having your pedicure or spa service, you’re treated to wine, mimosas, coffee or whatever you want. We were treated to the ski boot rescue massage in addition to our pedicures that included massages, heated socks, lotions and even a hand massage. As we were pampered we had an uninhibited view of the main ski slopes of Boyne Mountain, and the winter wonderland that surrounded us. The calming view, skilled technicians and a mimosa made the experience a wonderful and relaxing one. As an added benefit, my pedicure was done with Habit nail polish – which is not only eco-friendly but free of the top 5 chemicals.
