RealTimes App ReviewEarlier this summer, while I was in New York, I met the team from RealTimes a new app that is changing the way we share information and our digital photos. It’s true, the majority of people actually only shoot pictures with their camera now, and more often than not – we forget what we took pictures of or that we wanted to share them with our friends and family.

RealTimes App ReviewI know I’m horrible about it, I take hundreds of pictures a week on my phone and camera (then send to my phone). But most of the time end up finding them later in the cloud. RealTimes knows this is a common issue, so they created their app to make it easy and fun to share your favorite moments. RealTimes sent me a gift card and gave me a Pro membership to their service to try it out – the only catch – we had to go out and have one last adventure of the summer! Wait? Summer is almost over? Drat! So what would you do with a gift card on your last days of warmth before the crisp days of fall gets here?

For us, it was spending a day checking out the places we kept saying we would visit this summer. We started the day downtown at the Hudson Street Grill, trying out Farm to Table breakfast in the heart of the city, we went down to Campus Martius Park and wiggled our toes in the beach that was installed downtown, and then spent our evening in the park listening to opera by the Detroit Opera House. Since we still had a little on our gift card – we went out later and tried an Alice and Wonderland themed tea house. There are still a few things we want to do before the summer is officially done – but those will be coming soon!

After our day in the city and trip out later we starting mixing our story in RealTimes. The app automatically backs up your photos in albums by date in their cloud. If you have a lot of items on one day, RealTimes will create a story for you, and automatically put it to music. While this is great, the best part about their stories- you can adjust your stories any way you want to! You can pick and choose the images you want in your story, choose the music and even change your opening music. The free account allows you to make videos up to 3 minutes long, but with the pro accounts you can do longer videos as well.

Check out the video I made with a few of the shots from our adventures. I did throw in some pictures of our flowers too to remind us what we love about summer!

RealTimes App ReviewThere’s so much you can do with RealTimes app, including customizing your titles, music and even creating custom stories by selecting your images. The app even includes filters so you can make your own artistic video. Once your video is done, you can save it, share it or even embed it.

You can download RealTimes for Android or iOS for free, and get the basic account with 2 GB storage, and an additional 5 GB cloud storage if you have autoback up turned on. But their premium subscription has 25 GB storage. Just this week RealTimes has rolled out their Family subscription plans for $9.99, where you can connect 4 different users images to share and create great family memories!

Realtimes wants one of my readers to have one last adventure of their own and to try out their fun app! Check out how you can win a $100 Visa Gift Card to enjoy one more summer adventure below.

  2. If I won, I would love to have a last summer adventure of tubing all day, then have a nice steak dinner to end the perfect day 🙂

  3. On my last adventure of the summer I would love to give my grandsons an opportunity to pick something they would love to do. Visit a zoo, an amusement park, or whatever they could think of.
