master lock file box review

master lock file box reviewIt’s hard for any of us to admit, but tax season is here. Hopefully you’re like me and have got everything ready to go and be sent in by the 15th. I got an early jump to my taxes this year, but usually I’m not that organized. I can blame that on time, actually I think we can, but sometimes the reality is I’m not as organized as I think I am. While I’ve already got my forms filled out to send in this year, Master Lock is making sure I’m more organized for next year while all of my information is locked away and protected.

master lock file box reviewPart of the reason I fail to keep organized each and every tax year is the lack of space for files. I have a traditional desk with a file cabinet on the side, but it is filled with other documents. But having my own business means a lot of confidential files, contracts and even my tax receipts. In my home office, I could easily drop them in a file and keep them within hands reach. The reality is though, my business keeps me on the road a lot, and at times those files need to come with me. This is where the Master Lock 7148D Locking File Box comes in handy – not only does it provide extra space for my business files, but it makes it handy to bring them with me on the go.

master lock file box reviewThe Master Lock Locking File box is the width of a standard file box where you can using hanging files. It is 6 inches deep, which allows a lot of files with you on the go. And it’s sturdy steel construction means it will handle the weight of the files as well as make it hard for people to break into .

The construction isn’t the only thing that is keeping your files safe – the file box is keyed and comes with 2 for your box. To get the file box open you have to not only unlock the file box but use the trigger to release the lid. The file box feels sturdy when you are carrying it and has a comfortable handle.

With my business growing this year, there seem to be more files to go in the box and receipts to keep organized. I love how compact the file box is, and knowing that I can keep the files I need with me on hand as I travel for business later this year. This is the perfect solution to keep your personal documents secure, and a great alternative if you don’t have space for a traditional file cabinet in your home or home office.
