It’s cold and flu season, and you’re probably like me – fighting off the first cold of the year. The coughing, the sneezing, sore throats.. it’s not fun! There is nothing you can do but wait it out and treat the symptoms. This year Pine Bros sent me a selection of their Softish Throat Drops to try, and they have sure helped me through this cold! When we are sick, we have a stock of throat lozenges we grab. But we have never tried a softish throat drop. What is a softish throat drop? It is a throat lozenge that you dissolve in your mouth just like any throat drop to help relieve your sore throat. It is not solid and hard so you will not feel it hit your teeth hard, instead the texture is similar to a harder gummy bear.
The Pine Bros Softish throat drops work best when you let them dissolve completely, not chew them. It was hard for me to not chew them, the soft texture makes them seem like a candy not a throat drop. However when you chew them you don’t get the full benefits of the drops! So I had to fight the urge to chew the drops.
I was sent both the Natural Honey and the Wild Cherry to try and review. I’m not a huge fan of natural honey on it’s own but didn’t mind the drops! I really liked the Wild Cherry drops and found they helped my sore throat this last week. I have an open bag in the home for when I need them and use the round disc to carry them with me in my purse. I love the carry along package, the top screws on tightly so I wont open my purse to find them spread all over the bottom.
