Peppermint Cocoa Yonanas Recipe

yonanas review

With sweets everywhere this time of year, it’s hard not to over indulge. If you’re like me, you like to have a treat now and then, but you know that the sugar and baked goods aren’t good for us. Part of our holiday treats this year are made more simply with whole fruit thanks to a Yonanas frozen treat we were sent. The recipes are simple and delicious.

yonanas reviewWhen I first heard about Yonanas, I assumed it was for only making soft served “ice cream” with bananas. And while it’s an easy place to start with recipes, you can really use it with any frozen fruit you have on hand. No added sugar, just soft serve ice cream to enjoy that is packed with flavor. This time of year we don’t have a ton of fruit on hand, or frozen, so I actually started with bananas and a recipe that Yonanas sent for the holiday season. I was shocked at how close the banana ice cream came out looking like soft serve ice cream!

Our Yonanas Frozen Treat maker came in 3 parts, the power base, the mechanism and the pusher. With a quick wash and a couple frozen bananas we were in business and ready to make frozen treats. I lined a bowl up under the opening and inserted the bananas. Some of the cocoa didn’t mixed in during the treat making, so I actually mixed it in later.

The Yonanas Frozen Treat Maker not only makes frozen treats easy, but it also is super easy to clean up. The mechanism part of the machine actually comes apart easily into 3 pieces that rinse out and wash quickly. Once cleaned out it could be used again to make another flavor since 2 bananas makes enough for 1-2 people.

Yonanas is in the holiday spirit! They sent us a recipe for some Peppermint Cocoa Yonanas that is not only delicious but super easy to make. Your kids will love it, and you’ll love that its not loaded with sugar.
