This month’s Fandom of the Month box is a revisit of a theme we’ve seen before – The Hobbit. Actually, the last time we saw this theme it was more focused on The Lord of the Rings trilogy, but the subject matter is one that is similar. This theme may be right up some people’s alley, but when I opened my box his month and saw a magnet with Frodo – I instantly felt let down. I slowly unwrapped the paper inside the box to see what else was inside, and thankfully, my opinion of this month’s box changed.
I’ve never been a huge fan of The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings series, but there is one J.R.R. Tolkien quote I’ve always loved “Not All those who Wander are Lost” – so when I opened up the necklace and found the quote – the box won me over If you open the locket necklace inside is a small compass. So far, it hasn’t worked the best when I’ve tested it out, but I haven’t taken it out of our home to see how well the compass works. Paired with the “One Ring” earrings that are cute and a fairy crown bracelet, the set has something that any fan of the series will like inside. It ranges from super girly items, ones you could wear every day at work that only other fans would pick up on, and a necklace that is the perfect gift for lovers of travel.
Even though I’m not a huge fan of the series, I can appreciate the items inside or know a few people who will love the pieces that aren’t my style. For only $13 a month, Fandom of the Month box is a great little gift to myself every month and I get excited to see what the surprise theme is each time I open a box.
