Did you know that March is National Frozen Food month? And while that doesn’t seem to leave a lot of options for people who are gluten free our friends at Van’s Food made sure we could celebrate with everyone else by sending us coupons to try their gluten free waffles and french toast. Since March 25th is National Waffle day we filled our freezer with delicious waffles to try out and have on hand.
Most of our meals at home are from scratch, but our schedule has been hectic lately. So for quick breakfasts we can grab a quick meal before we run out the door. Besides the obvious greatness of the waffles being gluten free, they’re also super easy to make. You either can pop them in the oven to bake them, or put them in the toaster for a few minutes. Either way you prepare them, they come out warm in just a few minutes and have a nice crunch to them. Just add a tab of butter and some syrup and you’re breakfast is warm and ready to go.
For me, I love how easy it is to make breakfast in a hurry – and know that it’s one that I can have with everyone else. It takes the question work out of making a meal, and I’ve found myself having them for lunch on occasion too. They’re easy to make and it’s nice to have warm and crispy waffles in no time at all.
