Certain flavors are synonymous with summer. A nice cold drink, barbeque and of course grilled steaks. That’s what made the Outback Steakhouse Moonshine menu perfect for this summer. Last month we were sent to try out the new menu offerings, that had a bit more than a kick.
Moonshine is typically something you associate with the south. Home made, strong flavor and great for relaxing. And that exactly what the summer menu at Outback has to offer – bold flavors, fresh ingredients and even a chance to kick back and enjoy the summer with a tall drink in a mason jar. And the new barbecue sauce is as full of moonshine as the drink.
You can get your favorites on the menu of course, steaks and chicken. But add to that specially fired ribs, steaks and even more. I loved the watermelon moonshine drinks, and my boyfriend even loved the mini milkshake options. And the mason jars? Not only are they adorable, but can be purchased if you like them!
We tend to visit our local Outback a couple times a month, especially since it’s a lot closer to our new house. But one of the main draws for me is their attention to gluten free options. The local Roseville location actually even offers gluten free bread from Celiacs Specialties – be sure to request it, and if it’s not out of stock you’ll have warm bread for you as well. Another major draw for our local Outback – fresh ingredients! They bring them in from local sources so they don’t travel far, drive up the cost and lose flavor on the way.
