Sometimes it’s hard to find family friendly entertainment that doesn’t contain any scary parts or parts that you may question. But Air Bud Entertainment is releasing a completely family friendly movie that your children are going to love. Air Bud Entertainment is known for their movies with the adorable talking puppy movies, and now they’re bringing a new star to the screen in Monkey Up.
We were sent a screener copy of Monkey Up to check out – an adorable film featuring Crystal the Monkey. Crystal is the Capuchin monkey known for her parts in The Hangover and Night at the Museum. In her latest role – Monty, she plays a monkey who is famous for energy drink commercials but wants to become famous actor. When Monty finds out he wont get the role he wants, he takes off to find his career and ends up finding a family to accept him as well.
The movie is a lot of fun and puts Monty and his new family in fun situations that are ones that will have your kids laughing. There isn’t anything in the movie that would be considered scary, bad language or questionable. It’s definitely a movie your kids will enjoy watching over and over again.
Monkey Up is the first feature length film for Crystal, and is completely family friendly. It was granted ‘Family Friendly’ rating by The Dove Foundation – a recognition awarded to movies, DVDs, made for TV movies and specials, books and other entertainment products that portray and encourage positive values. There will be special in theater screenings at AMC theaters from January 22 to 28, 2016, where proceeds will benefit Starlight Children’s Foundation, a leading global charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and health for kids and families around the world. With ticketing also by Fandango, AMC Theaters will show the Dove Foundation certified ‘Family Friendly’ film on 50 screens in top U.S. markets. This marks the first time Air Bud Entertainment has concurrently released a film in theaters and on home entertainment.
