She’s practically perfect, in every way – and back to help out with the Banks kids again – all of them. Today we get a first look at the new Mary Poppins Returns trailer and we can’t be any more thrilled. Mary Poppins is the nanny we all had or dreamed we did because we watched the movie over and over again. Her magical ways and showing up just when the family needs it is simply the best.
With the warm feelings we all have for the original, the sequel has already captured our hearts even though we’ve only seen little snippets from the trailer. We’re already enchanted and we will admit we even got teary eyed watching the new trailer.

The music score is by Marc Shaiman and the film features all new original songs with music by Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman. The film also stars Ben Whishaw as Michael Banks; Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks; Julie Walters as the Banks’ housekeeper Ellen; Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and introducing Joel Dawson as the Banks’ children, with Colin Firth as Fidelity Fiduciary Bank’s William Weatherall Wilkins; and Meryl Streep as Mary’seccentric cousin, Topsy. Angela Lansbury appears as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the PL Travers books and Dick Van Dyke is Mr. Dawes, Jr., the retired chairman of the bank now run by Firth’s character.
