Have you ever heard Manischewitz products? Before this review I hadn’t – I’ll be honest, I’ve heard the name thrown around – but never knew what it was for. But I was given the opportunity to try some of their great products and I’m so happy I was able to!
Manischewitz is a the leading brand of Kosher products since 1888 – yes.. over 123 years now! That in itself is amazing. And they’ve started to branch out their audience and include gluten free products and a lot more. Yes.. you saw that – gluten free! Are you excited now?
The first product I got to try was the All Natural Kettle Chips. I have to admit, I’m skeptical on kettle chips in general. There are a couple brands I like – but others cut them too thick, cook them too long, cover them in salt or flavoring so you can’t even taste anything but that. But I opened the bag and gave it a try – I waited until there was a day I was dying for something salty to snack on. They were delicious! Crisp, not too thick, not overly salty – and again my favorite part – gluten free! Yum!
The second product I got to try was Mishpacha coating crumbs – these were proudly labeled “Gluten Free” on the box. Now if you’re gluten free you know our options for bread crumbs are few and far between. I’ve noticed that a lot have a weird taste – or even an after taste that can ruin your recipe. I’ve found a couple that I’ve stuck with over the years, that or I’ve even made my own bread and bread crumbs. How would these stand up? Afterall – the box says they are flavored – does that mean it will taste weird?
I made one of the family favorites with it – Parmesan chicken – sprinkled the coating crumbs on and baked them. Again – it was delicious (so much so I even made this again last night!) It was a fantastic addition and the the flavor was fantastic.
I am so happy to have been introduced to these Manischewitz products. Not only do they come from a company that has a strong history and background – they provide high quality products we can all enjoy!
Manischewitz is also involved heavily with the local communities – they are currently involved in rock Can roll to help provide food to local community shelters!
