Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball Review

Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball ReviewBrewing your tea at home can be a mess. Not only do you have to deal with loose leaf tea, but you have to find a place to put your tea bags or tea ball aside after you’re done steeping your tea. That is, of course, until Magisso introduced their magnetic tea infuser ball. Now, you can brew your tea and leave it in the pot until you’re done!

Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball ReviewWhen I met with Magisso last month, they sent me home with their Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball to review and try out. It’s a small tool, but one that tea lovers will want to add to their tool kit. The magnetic tea infuser ball is the same size as other tea balls, but it has a a few unique features that sets it above its competitors.  First, it’s a two piece unit, the base is a soft food safe silicone attached to the suction cup end. The second piece is a stainless steel dome to close the unit. Both the base and the stainless steel halves are pierces for uniform steeping, and you wont lose your tea through the openings if you use loose leaf tea. Processed tea, on the other hand may escape through the small holes!

Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball ReviewTo get started, you fill the soft half with your favorite loose leaf tea, close it with the stainless steel lid and get ready to make your tea! I used some loose leaf tea a friend brought me back from China and made sure it only filled about half of the tea infuser ball – it gets quite big when it’s wet so I didn’t want it to over fill the tea ball. The next step is actually pretty easy, you stick the sucker end of the base to the inside of your tea pot lid! It’s a suction cup, and extremely easy to get working. So if you’re suction cup deficient like me, you’ll even be able to get this one to work! And, just like that your ready to make tea – the hard part is out of the way!

Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball ReviewIn order to steep tea you need to make sure you have hot water, this is an obvious step for any tea lover. Once your water is hot fill your pot to steep, or heat the water right in your tea pot if you can. Once you’ve filled your tea pot to the appropriate level, place your lid on top and let your magnetic tea infuser sit in the water and start steeping. Now walk away. Yup, give it time to work!

Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball ReviewAfter a few minutes you’re tea will be ready to go. It’s going to depend on your flavor preference, and how strong want your tea. But it wont take very long for your tea to steep – probably 3 to 5 minutes. But you will see your infuser doing the work for you (well, if you have a clear tea pot that is!)

Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball ReviewAnd now, this is where the Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball really knocks its competitors out of the water. What do you do with a regular tea infuser if you’re done steeping your tea? You take it out and put it on a dish and it will make a mess. Or worse yet, you leave it in and your tea will over steep. With the Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser ball, you lift the lid (that it’s attached to), and use a spoon to live the ball to the lid. In the bottom of the silicone base part is a magnet that will pull it to the suction cup in the lid, and it will stay there until you take it off. This allows you to control just how long your tea will steep, how strong your tea is, and will prevent you from having a mess removing a tea ball.

Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball ReviewOne of my favorite things about the Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball is that once you have it secured to the lid it can stay there until you’re done. If you decide that you want your tea a bit stronger you can release it and steep your tea more, or if you add more water! You can reuse the same tea leafs again and again. But you wont have a hot tea infuser or tea ball on the table or counter while you’re enjoying your tea and other things.

It’s always the small things that make products great. For the Magisso Magnetic Tea Infuser Ball, it’s the extra thought of how people drink tea and some of the problems they may have with current products. The magnetic tea infuser ball addresses these problems and does so in a fun little package!
