Luigi Bormioli Introduces Lock-Eat – Stackable Food Storage Containers You’ll Love

Lock-Eat ReviewThere are a lot of different food storage options out there, but over the last few year’s we’ve switched almost completely to glass. It’s easy to clean, lasts longer, doesn’t stain and you wont have to worry about flavors transferring (from the plastic or older contents). And let’s be real here, glass is just so much prettier! But not all glass is made equally, and I’m always looking for a great way to store my food and drinks without having something that will break easily or isn’t easy to store.

Lock-Eat ReviewEarlier this year, I saw the Lock-Eat system from Luigi Bormioli and fell in love. Not only is it heavy duty glass, but the lever lid make them easy to get into -and the flat (and ridged) lids make it so you can easily stack each item. They sent me a sampling of their Lock-Eat collection to put to the test in our kitchen. Each of glass jars come with a removable lid, a natural rubber seal ring and a steel clamp to ensure you have an air tight seal. Like the other Luigi Bormioli products, the beautiful glass products are made in Italy.

Lock-Eat ReviewUnlike the other latch lid jar systems I have around the house, the lids on the Lock-Eat jars and bottles are completely removable. They aren’t locked onto the bottle and flopping there when not in use. This turns the drink carafes into a beautiful bottle you can easily pour from when it’s placed on your table. The removable lid also makes washing the whole unit a lot easier, whether by hand or in the dishwasher.

Lock-Eat ReviewThe Lock-Eat food storage jars and bottles all include a standard rubber seal, which means besides storing dry goods in them – you can actually use them for canning. They can handle water bath processing like a champ, and when you’re done your food is sealed in an airtight bottle so things will stay fresher longer. The jars are even freezer safe, so you can use them for your next batch of freezer jam. Don’t worry about spills with Lock-Eat – the jars are heavy duty and will keep everything inside with their great seal.

Store more, can more and do it with beautiful Italian made glass jars with Lock-Eat. If you shop Luigi Bormioli online you automatically get free shipping – be on the look out for more great deals coming soon!

  1. I’m looking for a way to purchase these jars, and it seems that availability for most sizes in the U.S. is still very limited (Amazon and Williams-Sonoma carry one or two sizes each). Even the website doesn’t translate well from Italian and the pages don’t load correctly. Suggestions?
