To Do List
Life is hectic – it keeps moving and doesn’t seem to be putting the breaks on any time soon. I swear this time of year it goes from 80 – 150 mph. It’s this time of year I start to realize that I have in fact crossed the line from unemployed to self employed. I have clients who are in a rush to get new projects out and done before the holiday season starts, I have others coming back that have been quiet for months – it’s life on over drive.

It’s not a bad thing – I would never complain about it. I just have to fall back on something I trained myself to do in college – make a list. When November came while I was in college I would even go as far as do a day by day list and what hours I would dedicate to a task for a class taking note of the due date and points. I always made sure I didn’t miss anything.

But how do you do that now? Each client feels their project is the most important project, and I treat them all that way. Plus add in the potential move, packing, being a planning member for a large art show, upcoming holidays, and all of the normal household work and cooking.

So how do we keep up? Life isn’t going to slow down – so take the five minutes to write your list. Trust me it will help you sleep better as things being to pile up. I tend to make a broad list and a more detailed one if needed to keep me on track. For example, you can see the broad list for today below.

Today’s List:

  • 10:30 am Meet Client
  • Clean/Pack office
  • Look at new listings/Call Realtor
  • Blog!
  • 2:30 pm Phone Meeting
  • Clip coupons
  • Make Shopping list
  • Dinner/Dishes

If it seems like you keep forgetting things each day, or more and more gets piled on – consider making a list. If you write out what you have to do each day, you will be amazed at how easy it can be if you plan it out.

This time of year gets busy and crazy – don’t get lost in the hustle and bustle of it! 🙂

Happy Shopping!
