Kellogg’s Origins Review and Giveaway!

kellogg's origins review

In Michigan, Kellogg’s is a name we all know and if you’ve ever been to Cereal City – you’d know why. Based in Battle Creek, we’ve grown up with the brand and many of their iconic cereals. Kellogg’s just launched a new exciting line of Origins products, and they sent me a selection to try out.

kellogg's origins reviewUnlike many of the other cereals out there, including some of their own lines, Kellogg’s origins uses ancient grains with minimal processing. What does that mean? Whole grains, whole fruit and nuts – loaded with nutrition for your breakfast, lunch or even snacks!

There is a rise in being more an advocate for your diet, and knowing what is in it, and the Kellogg’s Origins products fit perfectly in that lifestyle. In our house, we’re always aware of what we’re eating and spend a lot of time reading labels to eliminate chemicals we wouldn’t want in our bodies. Origins make that easy to do, and the combination of grains, fruits and nuts means a powerful punch of vitamins for your meal to get you started.

Kellogg’s Origins can be found at Kroger, Meijer, Safeway, Hannaford and select Walmart locations and retail for $4.59, but be on the lookout for the 2/$6 deals! This puts them at the same price point as the processed cereals, and your body will be happier for a healthier option. Kellogg’s Origins is, of course, not gluten free – but was a huge hit with the gluten eaters in our house!

The Origins lines include:

  • Cereals:
    • Ancient Grains Blend: Touch of Honey
    • Fruit & Nut Blend: Cranberry Walnut
  • Granolas:
    • Ancient Grains Granola: Apple Raisin
    • Ancient Grains Granola: Cranberry Almond with Pumpkin Seed
  • Mueslis:
    • Fruit & Nut Muesli: Apricot Cashew Coconut with Almonds
    • Fruit & Seed Muesli: Raisin Apricot Cranberry with Pumpkin Seeds

  1. I like that these cereals are minimally processed and Bette for my health. I am most looking forward to the Muesli: Apricot cashew.

  2. I would like to try this one first – Kellogg’s Origins™ Cranberry Almond with Pumpkin Seeds Granola.
