To say Disney and Pixar films hold special place in our lives would be an understatement. Often, I can look back at a movie and remember where I was when it came out or I first watched it. I remember my third grade teacher giving me a copy of a book from Aladdin to read before the movie came out, and watching Mary Poppins always brings back memories of watching it on the the floor of my grandparents house every time we stayed over.
When I started dating my boyfriend, all those years ago, one thing we had in common was our love for Pixar movies and one we often watched on repeat on The Incredibles. We love the quirky super hero twist balanced with every day living and family life. There are many lines from the movie that we still use on a day to day basis (and after over 3 years we’re almost unpacking that last box ourselves!) But the characters are so great we fell in love with them each time we watched the movie. We even laughed that when we adopted our cat Jack, it’d be adorable if he “Jack Jack Attacked” us… little did we know that would be a daily occurrence (and I have the scars to prove it).
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when an amazing email hit my mail box – a special invite to head to San Francisco to Pixar Animations studio for a sneak peek of the upcoming Incredibles 2 that is coming to theaters on June 15th. I felt like a kid at Christmas – Pixar has been a dream to visit, and I can’t wait to check out everything the studio campus has to offer. And the best part? I get to take you along with me!
On Tuesday, April 3rd we’re heading to a special event at Pixar to watch some footage from Incredibles 2. I’ll be able to share some of this on Facebook and Youtube, but of course the parts of the upcoming movie we’ll be viewing will be embargoed.
Then on Wednesday, April 4th, we’re heading back to Pixar to attend a press day and get to interview Director Brad Bird, Producers Nicole Grindle & John Walker and various animators!
If that wasn’t enough, we’re ending our trip on Thursday April 5th with a trip to The Walt Disney Family Museum to look where it all started for the Disney family and more. We’re still waiting on our complete itinerary for this trip, and I can’t wait share this whole incredible journey with all of you.

About Incredibles 2:
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
