Happy Holidays from Our Family To Yours

Merry Christmas 2020

It’s been.. a weird year to say the least. And I’m not sure about you, but it doesn’t seem like a very festive season. We’re spending our holiday at home and not running around to the multiple family parties we normally have to attend. Instead we’ve scheduled zoom meetings with our loved ones, and have sent or porch dropped their gifts.

This might be one of the first years I haven’t felt festive enough to set up our Christmas tree – even if it’s just us at home. We’re not decorating the yard, but we’re still going to have a small meal just for us.

So what do we do this year if there are no gifts, no loud family parties and no driving across the state through the snow to see loved ones?

This year, we’re going to celebrate that our family is still safe and well. We’re going to give up seeing our loved ones this year so we can see them again for years to come. We’re going to remember that it is our love for one another that is truly a gift and that we’re going to enjoy our time together that much more.

Is this how we wanted to celebrate this year? Not at all. We had hoped that maybe, just maybe, we’d be able to hug each other again at Christmas. But we know that there will be hugs in the future, laughs and barbecues together again.

And while we’re missing loved ones this year, we’re happy for the promise of futures together.

So, if you’re alone this year, know that we’re in this with you. We’re sending love to you all and we will see you again soon. This may not be the easiest holiday season for any of us, but we will get through it.

Sending you love, good health and warm wishes this holiday season! And hope that we can see you all soon!
